Steelers have traded for Jalen Ramsey.

this is ******* stupid. Jack Jones sits idle, is younger and wouldn't have cost Minkah and a draft pick.

So they get Ramsey, give him an extra $1.5m to bring his 26 salary to $26.1m, then trade for Smith and extend him for $12m...yup, Watt will be next, can't afford him at this rate

I got a bit of the sense Minkah wasn't happy last year, maybe this was one of "those" types of trades. Either way, cornerback is a much more valuable position than safety and Ramsey, even at his age, is still pretty good. Rather than get a WR2, they went with another top receiving threat at TE (not the direction I wanted, but I get it with Arthur Smith).

Football is entertainment for me and the Steelers will be a lot more entertaining this year. As soon as they signed Rodgers, they committed to winning this year so they continue to make the moves to reach these goals. I'm good with this.

I’m intrigued by the Ramsey/Fitzpatrick swap. I’m wondering if Kahn is able to play shell game with reworking Ramsey and Smith’s contract vs Fitzpatrick? I’m also curious to see if they bring Hilton back-or they have someone in camp they really like that’s cheaper….i guess this is just wait and see

They could probably rotate Ramsey and slay at fs wonder after this will they add slay younger brother?

"In it to win it"

If the Tomlin doesn't truly embrace change, then this trade won't do **** for their chances.

Both sides of the ball need opened up and that 2nd-grade scheme needs major smacking on the *** with change and FREEDOM involved.

Maybe Coach Tomlin is serious about the change he has been talking about for this season.

There has been scuttlebutt of bringing Hilton back, but I haven't seen anything solid as of yet.

Hopefully, our only 3 TE's will be Muuth, Smith, and Washington. Get rid of all the other TE hold overs. Getting Smith in this trade makes it interesting. They are giving up more money and will still have a huge Minkah cap hit this year and still one next year.

Meh... they were never gonna use Mincah right in the Austin system... in the old 3/4 zone blitz you needed a high end safety... this hodgepodge just needs a safety...

How many more friggin TE's do we need? Darnell Washington is a wasted pick!

Based on the way the coaches used Fitz the last couple of years, he was under utilized and under performed. If that trend was going to continue, he's better off elsewhere. I don't know who will play his spot next year, but Ramsey will help a lot on the outside.

Smith will add a very good pass catching threat over the middle for Rodgers when he tells Tomlin he's throwing over the middle regardless of what Tomlin thinks. With the addition of Smith for a late round pick, I actually like this trade. I was worried they would give up Washington as well since I think Washington is poised to breakout this year with Rodgers at QB. With Smith, I don't think they need to go out and spend a lot to bring in another expensive WR.

We probably say goodbye to both Pierre and Lil Heyward with this deal.

And still need a safety, swing tackle, and maybe a #2 WR.

Wish they hadn't traded Pickens
Not to sound like a (83)Heyward fan, he is a football player. The move I would make is to keep (83) Heyward and cut Patterson. He’s a more versatile player and is a good special teamer. I’m sure they can get a rookie or sign another KR cheaper than Patterson. I can see Pierre getting cast away

I don't see why they would... how many CB's are they gonna have on the roster? They signed Slay and Echols, they resigned Pierre, and are returning Bishop, Porter, and Trice. Now you add in Ramsey, and you can't forget about the longshot Kent they drafted late for DB/Return role.

Now we have a huge hole at Safety, with only Thornhill (missed 12 games the last 2 years), Killabrew, Elliot, and Castro...
