This year is reminding me a lot of 2005. A good, but underachieving team headed into a snowy game on the road, and found their run game to win and push their momentum forward. In 2005 it was against Chicago, this year, it was in Buffalo.

A week passes, and the Steelers are down by 14 points twice, and march back from behind, to win their first come from behind victory of the season. This win is big, because it was on the road, against a division opponent. The Bengals know this team well, yet still couldn't keep up with the black and gold after half time adjustments.

All the games this year have been either big wins or big losses, where the outcome wasn't really in doubt either way in the 4th quarter. Yesterday, the Steelers delivered a victory in late December, when wins are tougher to come by, to win a game they probably would have lost earlier in the year. This team is starting to come together, and win the tough games. You need resilience like this in the playoffs, if you even want a chance to win a Super bowl. This year I have confidence in this team having what it takes to win the tough games as we move forward.

One more win, and the division is theirs! After that, on to the playoffs! GO STEELERS!!!

I agree, but admittedly next week may be the toughest game of the regular season.

For whatever reason, the Rats have Tomlin's number. Mike is going to need to put in some sleepless nights this week. Particularly if Greene is possibly out. That leaves us with 1 reliable receiver and 1 running back against a team that simply will not allow the Steelers to run and has the luxury of shutting down Brown.

With Coates still pretty much MIA and Rodgers not quite showing he' ready to be a real boy, the Steelers desperately need someone to step up and be a hero. Rodgers did some things last week to show he might be that guy. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for Coates to wake the **** up. It' just about time for Ben to have the "Martavis talk" with Sammy.

(Remember when Ben told Martavis he needed to dial the **** in and be a baller? That's what Sammy needs right now.)

Ben already did have talk with Coates.

I too like the way this team keeps progressing forward. This is the RIGHT time and the rats will be another test for them. We are going to NEED a TE to step it up. Hopefully Stephon can play also. Sammy would help a lot if his light was brighter. We got this by 10.

Salute the nation

1 catch for 10 yards.

Did he speak the same language as Sammy?

Having Ben healthy for this game should make a huge difference from the last game. We need to execute and finish drives.

1. I like your thinking
2. I have heard that neither Tomlin, Haley nor Butler are capable of making adjustments. This portion of your post must be in jest.

I was incorrect about the outcomes not being in doubt in the 4th. With every close game they've had this year, before yesterday, the Steelers came up just short of being able to win it. Hopefully yesterday is a turning point!
