Timmons lead all of the NFL in tackles during the Postseason even though the Steelers played 1 less game than the *'s and falcons.

There could be an argument that we could let Timmons go and re-sign Sean Spence back from Tennessee just to add depth to the ILB group. He stayed healthy and did okay this past year including 6 starts and 3 sacks.

If you want money for a big name free agent or to keep Brown happy, these type of minor cost saving lateral moves might be okay to consider. I mean we could probably survive with a depth chart at ILB of Shazier, V. Williams, Spence and Matakevich.

If we got better play from the edge, I think those guys could work.

I'd love to see Spence back either way. The guy has a lot of heart and above average talent.

No to Timmons. Look, he's been a great Steeler and I wish him the best, but he has flat out SUCKED in coverage the past two years. And since our coaching staff is flat out incapable of changing schemes, we obviously will continue to use him "covering" TEs and slot receivers. With that in mind, NO THANKS!

I'm saying at this point in Timmons career. Williams is good. Gonna give Vince his props. Now mentally, speaking and being in the right spot. Timmons anyday. In my Steelers biased vision, here's what I am seeing. The defensive line is young and will be better. Heyward back, along with Tuitt and Hargrave should be much improved. If Harrison can still get pressure next season, that's something the Steelers need to upgrade like now. Bud Dupree will be a beast next season. The secondary is young and fast. Add in the ILB position of Shazier with his speed. If employed properly I think regardless who starts whether Timmons or Williams. Their lack of speed can be masked

I'm sure yinz had already heard that two valuable pieces of our team had resigned a couple weeks back in the Bos and Greg Warren.

I saw no mention of it so just in case it snuck by anyone.

Warren has been a rock for us for many seasons. Good signings in my opinion.

Timmons at his age cant drop back 10-15 yards anymore only lb on this team that can is shazier or they can try using davis at times asa rover s/lb.
