We were royally screwed at the RB position going into last season...Let's get us a stud in Rd. 1We could be royally screwed at the RB position going into the season

that's borderline criminal to let him walk for that. We need a big, featured back, but Conner could have been his back-up/change of pace back for even $2M.1.25 million. seriously we couldn't have offered him that? that is crazy. he played hard for us. he is worth more than that.

his injury past has to have a lot do with that caution. I've seen a lot of one-year contracts being signed, JuJu comes to mind. And it's only a one-year contract. Doesn't sound like AZ is too into him either.
Kinda says how they feel about him as a player. I personally would've kept him for that price.1.25 million. seriously we couldn't have offered him that? that is crazy. he played hard for us. he is worth more than that.
Instead of having a cheap option like Conner, who's proven to be a productive back, the Steelers will try to force plays to Samuels and McFarland. As much as I like Conner, he was not a feature back and he was ALWAYS hurt. You couldn't rely on him. He had to go. Plus, if he wouldn't have apparently injured himself on a "recreational vehicle" and had surgery during the offseason, he would have gotten more than a 1-year prove-it deal.
If they can get the Oline fixed or at least decent, they won't have to force plays to any RB.Kinda says how they feel about him as a player. I personally would've kept him for that price.

They can fix the OL but Snell, McFarland, and Samuels is a terrible backfield. If they can get the Oline fixed or at least decent, they won't have to force plays to any RB.
Shows just how little anybody really wanted him. Its not just the Steelers who see him as used up1.25 million is a steal. I’d have thrown 1.5 million with another 5 million in incentives. Like 1k for every yard rushed. If he runs for 2,000 yards that’s 2 million. Another 1k per receiving yard. And 50k per td.
It's very possible 2 of the top 3 backs are gone by 1.24.We could have kept Connor for cheap as a backup or plan B. Worst case would have been he was our starter with a probable improved line. Now we are pretty much forced into a RB and teams know we like Harris. If Harris and TE are gone i think we will reach for Williams in round 1. I just feel like we painted ourself into a corner
I think it had more to do with injuries than with performance.
Their high on Ballage.Kinda says how they feel about him as a player. I personally would've kept him for that price.

I think they take a RB in 1 or trade down 1 then up in 2. In that scenario it wouldn't be Sermon IMO.I wouldn't be happy with that pick in the 2nd round
