Pittsburgh Steelers running back and current free agent James Conner is reportedly visiting with the Arizona Cardinals:

Arizona just lost running back Kenyan Drake in free agency, and Conner would certainly bolster their running back room. Conner is considered a rather big name free agent that is still available on the market.






In his career, all four years in Pittsburgh, he has rushed for 2,302 yards and 22 touchdowns. He has also caught 124 passes for 963 yards and 4 touchdowns. Wherever Conner goes, they are certainly getting a tough player. He will always hold a spot in the hearts of Steeler Nation, and we wish him all the best wherever he lands.

So the stillers are just gonna let JC walk and not make any offer at all?

Jame's story is "LEGEND" but the NFL is about what have you done for me lately. He can be very effective and last year's play should not be judged due to OC (******* worst ever) and poor OL play / scheme. I hope the best for him in what ever he persues.

I'll be curious to see what kind of $$$ Ducar $$$ they offer him. Legnth of contract as well but I'm thinking they just looking till after the draft. Most teams are near dormat till after the draft to see what they got.

I thought I read somewhere he is or is near the top rated free agent left on the market.

All of the local stations are quiet about this, so I suspect you are correct. It doesn't appear anything happened today, well nothing reported.

What can we offer? Not enough to keep him.
 
Read an article yesterday that he injured himself on a "recreational vehicle" and had to have surgery (turf toe injury) but should be ready to go by summer. That is why he hasn't gotten any interest so far.
 
Kind of a sad move. I get it on the part of all parties, though. Best of luck JC! You'll be missed.

Yeah he was ahead of several big name running back that were left out there last time i checked a few ranking sites... over Gurley and Johnson even....
 
I don't like this move for a few reasons. JC or any RB had no shot last year due to our line. I feel JC deserved at least one more chance with an improved line. It also seems to lock us into taking an RB in Rnd 1 which i do not like. Also if Harris and TE are both gone I hope we don't reach for another RB in rnd 1. I don't think there is a guarantee that Williams will be there in round 2. We could be royally screwed at the RB position going into the season

Wait until we take Sermon in the 2nd round to be our feature back...

Good luck to Conner! Thrilled to have him as a Steeler and he was a good back when healthy. I hope he tears it up in Arizona.
