Ross Cockrell - DB - Steelers

DKPittsburghSports.com reports Steelers restricted free agent CB Ross Cockrell is drawing "plenty" of interest.

Reporter Mark Kaboly doesn't name any teams. Cockrell was somewhat surprisingly tendered at the original-round level, which is the fourth round in this instance. Teams might view that as a reasonable price for a player who has emerged as a decent No. 1 corner over the past two seasons.

It's possible the Steelers are prepared to match any offer Cockrell receives on the open market.

Dont'a Hightower - LB - Free Agent

ESPN New York reports the Jets are making an "all-out blitz" for free agent LB Dont'a Hightower.

It jibes with CBS' Jason La Canfora's reporting. Per reporter Rich Cimini, the Jets are willing to make a "blockbuster" offer to a player who had been seeking $12 million per season. Both La Canfora and Cimini report the Jets are offering the most money, but that Hightower still seems inclined to return to New England.

12 MILLION A SEASON! I wouldn't have even bothered bringing him in for a visit!
 
Why not Zach BROWN? He is 27, costs less than Donte and is better in pass coverage.

Patriots might be going for another one of those undefeated seasons. They're going to be better than last year for sure. So far we have gotten worse on defense, better on offense with Martavis coming back. We need to get a lot better on defense and I don't see that happening at this point.

I didn't want Hightower at his proce. Williams, plus a FA add and we will be fine at ILB. I'm not even going to mention Zach Brown again....we all know I want us to sign him and Barwin.
