Steelers Expected To Sign Dwayne Haskins

I am hoping the past taught them some lessons. (Hoping)

Did anyone ever look at things this way...The Steelers did a remarkable job keeping the lid on things during the Antonio Brown/LeVeon Bell years to get the production out of them they did? They held that together for 8-9 years, kept Brown incredibly productive until he finally went off the deep end. Maybe they should get some praise for that. It could have blown up a heck of a lot earlier.

I look at that differently. Sure they kept a lid on it but to me they showed they gave special treatment for a few players. They let them do what they wanted. Other players saw this. It created a culture that was a cancer in the locker room. It created a me first atmosphere. "Me" came before "team". Every young player that came in saw what AB was about. Saw what he got away with. While AB isn't here now Tomlin still let's players do as they please. Maybe it is the same with other teams. Maybe not. Let JuJu do his tiktok thing might seem like a little issue but it shows me Tomlin still allows the players a bunch of leeway. When you are changing the culture of a team from where it was I think he should have nipped that in the butt right away(JuJu's tiktok). It is why I truly believe if we want to change the culture of this team we have to move on from our HC. Maybe after next season we will. Doubtful though.

I am not disagreeing with that at all, I want you to know. I just think Brown was a tinder box ready to explode, and maybe some of those things done were to try to keep the lid on. And maybe it was wrong to indulge him. However, I do not agree that putting the hammer down would have changed Brown. I just think the explosion would have happened earlier.

I think the maybe the best approach with him was when he was at his best, they should have traded him and got the most they could for him. That way the overindulging could have been avoided, as well as the explosion that occurred. But, ****, thats water under the bridge now.
