The Pittsburgh Steelers selected wide receiver Calvin Austin III in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and from the moment he arrived, former head coach Mike Tomlin was intrigued by what he brought to the roster. Tomlin loved Austin’s speed, versatility, and edge, believing he played with a noticeable chip on his shoulder after being underrated because of his size at 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds. Unfortunately, Austin’s rookie season never got off the ground, as an injury forced him to miss the entire 2022 campaign, delaying his chance to prove himself at the NFL level.
