The reason the Steelers are a winning organization and they have been for the last 40+ years is because they build through the draft! We as Steeler fans are pretty spoiled compared to some other organizations out there. Steelers have never been a team to dive into free agency and if you look through history since Free Agency began the Steelers usually wait through the first round of signings where franchises pay too damn much $$$ for high priced free agents....many of them (A ME FIRST) type of player who cares about one thing....and one thing only....MONEY! M-O-N-E-Y and that's what they want!
We need team players with the goal of winning! Free Agents typically never fit that mold! Sorry!
Steelers need OLB, CB & Safety in the draft this season and they better turn their attention to bringing in guys to compete also when it comes to Free Agents at those positions! We could also use a solid TE backup to Heath but we can probably get by at least one more year there.
If I see some BS....BAA in the first round and it's a O-linemen or a WR I'm gonna blow a gasket during the draft! The last time they did that was in 2008 and those first three picks that season were a nightmare to this organization......maybe this will spark some memories.....
Rashard Mendenhall.....yeah his failure to secure the football while running caused us Super Bowl XLV
Limas Sweed.....while we desperately needed OL I can still remember Tomlin sayin...there's 2 ways to protect a QB...one you give him quality O-line or 2 you surround him with weapons....#2 didn't work out too well.
Bruce Davis.....complete garbage! Enough said....
Luckily for these three bums despite not really contributing much at all in 2008 all three of these bums got Super Bowl rings.....The highlight of their careers!

That play sucked, but in fairness, he got crushed almost the moment he got the ball. That would have been a tough "hold-on" for anybody. I still believe to this day however that if the Steelers go on to score on that drive and go ahead we crush the Packer's spirit and win that game. We would have come back from a huge hole and that would have really un-nerved them. That was SUCH a huge momentum play for them.
Limas... Man he just didn't ever work out at all. Epic bust. Even worse than that Safety Scott something... At least that guy saw the field a little bit..
