I don't think it has anything to do with Rogers durability. I think they are letting teams settle in with their roster and have a look at the risk of releasing Howard or Thompson. They are not going to play the season with 4 QB in the 53.
I agree 100% with both comments.Let's talk about Trice...
China doll. I would have kept Beanie over Corey.

I agree on this but also want to add, in my opinion…………
1) Howard will be kept as he is the more high ceiling QB of the two.
2) Skylar is “hot” at the moment and I’m sure the tele’s have been busy looking for a trade currently or within the 1st 4 weeks of the season.
3) Tomlin likes Will a lot and having that favor goes a long way, National Championship pedigree helps as well.
4) My preference is Howard over Skylar
Just5 my $1.29 worth.

Agreed. I think ultimately they would like to bring in Howard Thompson and Rudy to compete with Draft pick next year.I agree on this but also want to add, in my opinion…………

This was one of my reasons for keeping all four.Agreed. I think ultimately they would like to bring in Howard Thompson and Rudy to compete with Draft pick next year.
So Bishop and Robinson both were playmakers that werent exactly staff favorites cause they ad libbed to much... a lot of modern coaches value steady adherence to the play as drawn up to instinctive ad libbing...The Beanie Bishop cut was definitely the most surprising to me.
I realize it is a numbers game and the slot is pretty crowded which is the only reason I can think of when back end of the roster guys like Calvin Anderson, Bruener (st only in that crowded position) or Donte Kent all wind up with spots.
There were several players cut and available equivalent to Calvin Anderson imo, not quite sure what they see in him.
Guessing maybe Bruener and Kent get the nod to keep Khan’s streak of all the picks making the squad alive?
He gave solid producton as a young guy, seemed like at a minimum you roster him then shop him (to a slot needy team) for a pick based off past production.
Oh well, Kudos to Khan for keeping the streak alive.
Pretty much majority made it back. I didn’t see the vet S, no K, or P.Bishop signed to practice squad.
This roster will see significant change before and after the Jets game. Vested vets on the 53 who play the first game automatically have their salaries guaranteed for the season. If they are signed after game one they are not guaranteed.Pretty much majority made it back. I didn’t see the vet S, no K, or P.
Buy yeah…

its no secret... and because the team is so rigid, its why come playoff time gameplanning vs them is so easy
This staff probably would not value a Rod Woodson or Troy polumalu type...
