Jets are trading LB Avery Williamson to the Steelers, as @MMehtaNYDN reported.
Trade terms, per source: Jets get Pitt’s 5th-round pick in 2022; Steelers get Williamson and Jets’ 2022 7th-round pick.

He could also factor into our comp picks as well. Depends on what he signs for in the off season.
 
Let's hope he's James Farrior 2.0! He must feel like he just won the lottery going from a team 0-8 to a team 7-0. Jets message boards most posters seem to really like the kid and say he's one of their best LB'ers. He suffered a season ending injury last season and he's still fighting his way back but they say he was on of their best Defensive guys in 2018. Welcome to the Burgh Avery Williamson!

This must mean Ulysses back issues have returned for the long term. Solid player and was good player for the Titans. $1.25 mil cap charge this year. Practically a steal for a player with his services.

so you think its for depth only behind our current guys? I dont pretend to scout players. But he IS a starter at Jets.

He will at least have to learn the D, for a ilb that takes a minute.... but it at leasts lets them spell williams and Spillane... with gilbert having back issues depth was critical
 
Its a damn shame the Jets traded Mclendon earlier... he would have been a nice add if Alualu is down For sny significant stretch since Wormley is on the IR....
 
I think they were counting on UGIII as the back-up but he has another back injury. This move must mean he may not be back for a while if ever.
