Get the **** outta here. Tomlin is saving for the playoffs. You really expect him to throw the kitchen sink at the Browns after already clinching a playoff spot? Pfft. The guys who are starters only played to stay sharp

Didn't like some of the play by some of the guys, but I can't get on Tomlin. Down 14-0 it would have been easy for both players and coaches to mail that meaningless game in. But they gutted out a win. Gotta credit that.

Jarvis made some splash plays....a sack, a batted pass, a fumble strip......
 
A.) beating cleveland is meaningless... it got boring years ago... the rivalry is long dead.
B.) the game was meaningless... we could have lost 77-0 and still been in the exact same position next week
C.) Losing that game would have hurt the browns worse by lowering their draft position while possibly raising ours...
D.) not going to Ot reduces potential injuries and wear and tear...

Its not like a win is bad, but ultimately anyone who was worried about it was a fool

Screw just going through the motions, losing, and then trying to turn it back on the next week for a playoff game. It rarely works.

So why would we sit every major star on the team then... or is only the other guys who have to play hard through this game to be ready?

****...I guess we could have just forfeited the game then. Otherwise any play someone could have gotten hurt. I'm sure if we were down 14 to 21 and scored we would have went for 2 points. And got out of there win or lose. To ask these guess to fight back from being down 14 and then swapping TD's only to make a giant stop at the end of the game you think the players would have wanted their coach just to say....Take a safety. I don't think ONE player would agree to that.

Here it says Justin Gilbert was hurt during the game...I didn't even know he played. Also that Hargrave left the game and then came back..only to leave the game for good. I don't know what to read into that.

You must try to win regardless of the players you field. The win at all cost mentality must be part of every Steeler players DNA if he wants to wear the Black and Gold.... starter or backup.
