#Steelers are in market for another TE. Told they’re open to moving QB Josh Dobbs. But...Dobbs is brilliant & extremely well-liked. He gives a grt look mobile QB weeks (see: L Jackson), w/ some creativity he could be used unconventionally - & Ben Roethlisberger loves him in room.

gray banner Hawkins all big bodies all raw banner and gray were bear hugging rushers, I can understand the rust with Hawkins since he was on ir in camp and never suited up and banner was udfa and gray's play shows why he was a 7th rounder but with his versatility he can be groomed into a decent back or even starter if he sheds some weight and improves technique.

On offense the team released quarterback Devlin Hodges, running backs Trey Edmunds, Travon McMillian and Malik Williams, receivers Trey Griffey, Johnny Holton, Tevin Jones, Brandon Reilly, Eli Rogers and Diontae Spencer, and tight ends Micky Crum, Kevin Rader, Christian Scotland-Williamson and Trevor Wood. On the offensive line Garrett Brumfield, Derwin Gray, J.C. Hassanauer, Patrick Morris and Damian Prince were released.

Defensively the team let go of defensive backs Marcus Allen, Dravon Askew-Henry, Marcelis Branch, Jhvonte Dean, P.J. Locke and Trevon Mathis, linebackers Jayrone Elliott, Christian Kuntz, Tegray Scales, Sutton Smith and Robert Spillane, and defensive linemen Winston Craig, Greg Gilmore, Henry Mondeaux, Casey Sayles and Conor Sheehy.

Wow, both Eli and Holton gone, along with Marcus Allen.

I can't believe Spencer,Rogers, AND Holton were released odd.

So they're only going with five receivers? That leaves JuJu, DJ, Moncrief, James & Switz.

Only 5 receivers and one of them is Switzer? What a ******* down. If you cut Eli at least keep Holton. What the ****

Yeah man, they kept only five recievers.

JuJu Smith-Schuster
Donte Moncrief
James Washington
Diontae Johnson
Ryan Switzer

Our top three looks potent.

I imagine Switz will handle kickoffs, Dionae Johnson on punts.

Getting a couple of WR's on the PS will be critical... is Holton PS eligible?

I thought for sure Holton would make it. Who do they have who can get down field as good as he can?

Moncrief maybe? Was definitely hoping Holton would make it though.

Hopefully Holton and Spencer make it there...

...is Holton PS eligible?

And the answer is...yes! Hopefully he doesn't choose to sign elsewhere.

Johnny Holton- On the Raiders active roster in 2016 and 2017, Holton spent all but one game on the practice squad last season. Although he has three years total, he only has two accrued seasons and year lost of practice squad eligibility.

So theoretically we can sign both Holton and Spencer to the PS and be in pretty good shape.

I still can't believe Rogers, Spencer AND Holton were all cut.

Moncrief maybe? Was definitely hoping Holton would make it though.

Yeah, my sense is they've kept Moncrief under wraps, but Ben's been gushing about him all summer. The dude can move...

Likely silencing critics who questioned why he would leave school a year early, Ole Miss wide receiver and NFL hopeful Donte Moncrief ran a blistering 4.35 40-yard dash today at the NFL combine.

I think the best for Moncrief is still yet to come. Really excited to see him & Ben develop some chemistry.

Startling athleticism gives Colts WR Donte Moncrief rare potential
https://eu.indystar.com/story/sport...ts-wr-donte-moncrief-rare-potential/11751505/

Rotoworld, an online sports website, took receivers' 40 times, broad jumps and vertical jumps as recorded at the combine and figured in their heights and weights. The idea was to develop a metric assessing athleticism with size.

Moncrief was right there with the five best since 1999: Calvin Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Stephen Hill, Julio Jones and Andre Johnson. All but Hill are Pro Bowl receivers.

"In my opinion, the Colts got a steal," said Grant Heard, Moncrief's position coach at Ole Miss. "I think they got a first-round talent for a third-round draft pick." Some think the rare combination of size, get-deep speed and volatile athleticism can one day make Moncrief a No. 1 receiver.

But Tuzar the pass rush Czar made it!

I don't like their RB and TE depth. Everything else looks gtg.
