This rivalry has intensified over the years, but it boiled over in the 2023 season when TJ Watt felt he was robbed of the Defensive Player of the Year Award. Garrett reportedly took offense to Watt not supporting him for the honor, adding fuel to an already heated rivalry between the two elite pass rushers.
