Round 1: Ronnie Harrison (S) The Steelers have a gaping hope at safety. Harrison is an exceptional talent who can run stuff, cover, and hit hard. Harrison is a perfect fit, as he can play strong or free safety. Sean Davis, who is very talented himself, has been inconsistent may be moved from strong safety […]

I'd only take Harrison if Evans and Van Der Esch off the board. And, no way, do I take that scrub QB int he 3rd. We have way more pressing needs and Dobbs showed more than enough last year and with his study habits and training during the season that he deserves another camp or 2 to improve. He has the tools and is a very, very intelligent QB, unlike we have ever had on the team. I seriously want to see how much he improves from year one to two and then to even year three. I almost guarantee, if he gets decent snaps in the preseason, that he will be much better than Landry Jones.

I’m not the biggest Ronnie Harrison fan unless we play him more like a rover S/ILB which would make the need for an ILB much less of a priority.

Fred Warner I do like but not in the second and not after getting Harrison. Again, I feel Warner would warrant a rover type position.

I haven’t scouted Lauletta at all to be honest but I don’t feel going QB this early is a good idea. I’d be ok using a 7th to stash on the PS one year then let Landry go after the season to let Dobbs and draft pick fight out the backup pecking order in 2019. But with Roethlisberger claiming he wants to play 3 more years I wouldn’t invest a high pick in a QB until closer to 2020.

I like Hercules... maybe it’s just the name lol. No, i like the dog in him. He fights through blockers, uses his hands well, shoots the gaps, explodes with his first step. I’m not sure where he fits but I’d like to find a spot. Like you said even just a situational pass rusher and if he can play special teams is enough for me.

Jackson is a guy I’m not sure on. If the Steelers are going RB by committee next year then he could find a third down and long niche. But he doesn’t have starter ability IMO.

Maquez Valdes-Scantling is an older prospect but definitely has size and wheels. Can’t really argue much about a 7th round pick.

Apke is a guy who would be nice to get into camp and see what you have. He has the speed and athleticism and he isn’t afraid of contact. He just has some issues with placement and reaction time. Boom or bust prospect which I personally prefer after round 5.

what do you guys think of making a SN mock, where the participants get team(s) assigned to choose a draft pick based on their needs. Then we could have our own mock made with our own simulated picks. At least a three rounder
