Steelers 53-man Roster Prediction (Final)

I stopped right there. Good guy, but see ya.

I think my only question with Chick is any of his competition a better run defender?

That will be answered coming up soon..................

I've seen enough of Chick. Good guy. Not a terrible player but no way I let Skipper walk. You put him and Ola in the blender and you might get a bona fide starter next season and not have to spend a premium pick to replace Dupree. If they believed Chick was a starter why would they pick up the expensive option on Dupree.

Great post, we have spent far too many high value draft picks on the same positions

I am thinking we only go with 2 QB's.........

If that's the case, which I'd be fine with, I hope they can at least trade Dobbs and get some return rather than straight cutting him

Been saying this for awhile.

Salute the nation

I agree - gotta find a way to keep both Skipper and Gilbert. I would say goodbye to both Dirty Red and Chick. Does anyone think that maybe Skipper could play inside and take Dirty Red's position?

I would be actively working the phones the next few days to move at least 1 wr, LB and Dobbs then using those assets to get a bonafide 2TE... I am not thrilled with that position at all

I don't see us keeping Dobbs. I'd much rather keep Gilbert and Skipper than either Chickillo or Matakevich. I'd rather keep potential starters than guys who are who they are. Gilbert and Skipper could very well be exceptional players, or at worst as average as Chickillo and Matakevich.

Also rather see us keep Spencer, Johnson or Jones at WR than to keep the same guy twice (Rogers, Switzer).

idk wtf they will do with qb position. I think they should keep 2 on active and put Hodges on the PSquad.

The other way to keep gilbert and skipper is to keep 8 OL instead of 9. Put Fred Johnson on the Psquad. Finney will start for anyone interior.. And feiler/banner / chuks fill in tackles.. If need be, they shuffle down to G/C.

Im with a lot of you, i seen enough of chickillo in the past. I seen little of him this camp. Next man up. And like sask said.. between ola and skippar next year, we probably have jarvis 9 million dollar man Duprees replacement

keep eli over switz, eli is a excellent slot WR who has great chemistry with ben for tough over the middle catches.

Berry makes the team. Skipper played ST vs Carolina. Chick and Matekevich play important roles on ST, and are your guys this season. It's more up for debate next year, once UG3 and Skipper have a year under their belts.

I'd have no prob cutting Chick....4mil/year is nuts.

I don't see the how you would keep Chick and Dirty Red over Skip and Gilbert. You will never get either of these guys to the PS. They played to well. We have all seen Dirty Red in pass coverage. He was a step behind the Carolina TE. We have seen both of these guys peak performance. Tuzar and Gilbert are already ahead of that with possibly a lot more to come.

Honestly, I shop whichever of Eli or Switz who isn’t making the team to the Jets, who are in search of a vet WR that can return punts or kicks.

They may have a surplus of RBs if they aren’t sold on Snell... though that is doubtful....

If not a pick that can be flipped for a TE might work

We hear this every year about some fringe player when in reality, 1100 players are going through waivers in the next day or so with a whopping 4% getting claimed by other teams. I still remember when it was Matekevich everyone was saying would never clear waivers.
