Virtually the ONLY smart take this time of year is wait and see, as the draft is nowhere near an exact science.

Every year the over reactions about players fans know jack squat about is just insane, yet it happens EVERY year without fail.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most aren't saying he will be a bust. I would say the most negative things said is he is a bit of a reach at 21 and a project. Can't argue there's no validity in those opinions...

One other point; GM's used to be able to forecast draft classes but NIL is screwing that up royally. Some college players are earning more than an NFL rookie contract and return to play for ant team willing to shell out the money. Khan sitting there with 12 draft picks this year and 9 next year shows, I believe, he was looking to trade up to select a QB this year, which was supposed to be QB heavy class of first rounders, which it did not, obviously. Now they're projecting next years QB class to be a very good one but will it?

I like what he's doing, personally and with Big Mike having a say in terms of personnel, I'm looking forward to who Khan grabs in the draft and free agency as he builds this new team.

If Jones was an outstanding pick we would not be having this conversation.
If Jones was an outstanding pick Dylan Cook would not have outplayed him.

Kahn has not drafted a single skill position contributor outside of Washington. His 3rd round WR and RB have done zero.
He paid a #2 WR like a top 5 guy, simultaneously trading away a top 5 guy who was playing for peanuts.
He has drafted talent in the trenches, hopefully Max continues that trend.
Not confidence inspiring knowing the plan failed because kahn was not smart enough to go up and get the guy they wanted.
If the Steelers are trying to convince Rodgers to play and are supposedly in the win now mode last night was an epic fail.
You get played by the Eagles and then you pass up the next best WR for a project Tackle??

How many posts in less than 24 hours have you made with the word embarrassment? Is embarrassing indeed, especially from someone that doesn't think the pick was actually bad.

Did you really like Lemon That much? Besides, you can't control what other teams do, **** the Cowboys and eagles, we get who's available in the board, if they didn't trade up is because they had similar value on both guys, they got the one left.

Even if they would have wanted to trade up? How we know the cowgirls wanted to do business with his former HC ?

Max played JUCO for two years, and then started 5 games for Arizona State in 2023. He started 26 more games in 2024/25. By my math, that's 3 years at the Power-4 level...and 12 more starts than Broderick Jones had in college.

I'm not a scout so I'll start with that but Lemon is 5-11, 190 and runs a 4.5 40 speed. If they want that type of player, that is Roman Wilson size and Wilson is faster. Why have they refused to give him a shot but then look to use a first round pick to draft his duplicate???? Personally, I'm glad we didn't get Lemon because I don't see him as the difference maker.

Yeah, Ford, I'm not sure what sort of axe you are grinding here. I absolutely agree that Lemon seems to be a head case. He certainly sounds like one. All that means is that Khan, et al have not learned their lesson that retard WRs are a locker room cancer who won't finish their rookie contracts in Pittsburgh. We got damn lucky.

And all of this talk about 'Khan got played' by the Eagles/Boys is just stupid. He's supposed to somehow know that there's a deal coming with two other teams? Please explain how he would be able to obtain this knowledge. And after he gains the knowledge he's to somehow magically invent another team who wants to trade their pick to us? Because of the knowledge that we don't have? I do not think Khan is a great GM, but this criticism is nonsense. I don't care who's saying it, it's stupid.

I believe that you're mistaken, because Max did not allow a sack in 2025. And, in fact, he gave up a grand total of 3 QB hurries in 484 pass-blocking snaps last season.

Not bad for a "raw" "project" "reach" who's "basically been playing football for 2 years," as some here have said.
 
Lemon is small and slow, and can't talk right. It was a blessing in disguise that Philly jumped them. The OT may turn out to be great. He has a high ceiling but a low floor. Ultimately, none of it matters in the big picture if they don't find a quarterback. It's honestly impossible for me to get excited or mad either way given that situation

I'll take an athletic, very large Tackle over a small and slow receiver any day of the week.
