Steeler Roster showing 54 players

Can't believe they actually kept Watson, Hilton, and Feiler -- guys I thought really deserved to make it. Never expected all three to do so. With the signing of Haden and the other moves made by the front office, this roster is shaping up very nicely.
 
Looking at the final 53, it's kind of shocking how thin we are at safety. We are in trouble if Golden or Dangerfield need to see significant time. TJ Ward would fill a huge need if we could grab him, especially since Mitchell is already banged up.

You let too many thing get stuck in your crawl. Chances are the next guy they would have drafted if he was off the board also got cut today.

There's always a few positions on the team that's thin in the depth department. The Steelers are actually pretty deep across the board with safety being the only glaring weakness right now once you look past the starters.
 
Really ? We have a below average starter at ILB in Williams and two poor backups there. Teams are going to spread us and pick on Williams all year long.

maybe they don't put him in coverage as much?

Eh, I think the backups are at least competent and we are not talking about starters. If Golden or Dangerfield is in it's a huge liability for the defense.

Good luck with that. Teams can design plays to hurt your weak link and our ILBs are a weak link excluding the china doll Shazier.
