Steeler gameday parking increased

So you are comfortable living life as a hypocrite? Way to go. It saddens me when I see people with weak character.

you must brush your teeth in the dark then

I think I addressed this quite well. I can lay it out if there is a problem with reading comprehension.

That assertion if full of ignorance.

1.) The stadium was built larger than most, due to the FU-GA game each year and to get a Super Bowl, which they did.
2.) Jax is one of the smallest towns to have an NFL city. The population is radically inflated due to insanely large city limits, areas that are no where near downtown are counted as in the city limits.
3.) The Jags - a losing team forever - avg. 61,463 fans a game last year, compared to Pgh - a contender with more rings than any team and in a town where football is considered life, avg. 64,356. So, all those things considered, Pgh only avg. 3,000 more fans a game. If the Jags ever achieve contention again, they will blow away fan attendance of the Steelers. With all that losing and such bad teams, they are only 3k behind them as it is.

So, before you blow mess at the Jags for attendance, get informed. What do you think attendance of the Steeler games would be if we had a team as bad as the Jags?

I lived in West PA during some bad seasons (none came close to being as bad as Jags 3 win seasons) and you couldn't give tickets away; no one wanted them. Oh, the tickets will be "sold out" but that doesn't paint the whole picture. Thousands of those tickets are bought by scalpers.

Jags should never have been awarded an NFL franchise. That year Baltimore was the better choice, but politics won out to this college town. (Addresses point 2. They lacked the market and population to support a team) They built the 80+k stadium thinking they could fill it each and every week, and did a fine job when they were competitive. (Addresses point 1. Initially, they did fill that stadium, then the had to tarp it to avoid blackouts when their team competitiveness declined) When they weren't competitive they had to tarp sections to avoid blackouts, which they had a ton of, and those tarps are the only reason they avoid blackouts.

People don't go to stadiums to go swimming or watch unattainable tail. They go to watch a competitive football game. Jags hadn't done that recently, but they could turn it around. I don't know what's so great about that stadium since they're more than willing to throw away a home game each year to play in England.

Also FYI, a Scalper's tickets have already been sold once...

So point 3 is similar to point 1, though Pittsburgh's capacity is about 65k it may be closer to 69k since the new seats went in, but the Steelers are filling their stadium, and don't require tarping to do so, and have NEVER gotten close to a blackout.

Still doesn't change the fact that they were awarded a team without adequate market study, to realize this tiny town can't support an NFL franchise. The NFL is realizing it and is sending them to England once a year to avoid having to attempt to not fill that stadium for an additional game each year.

Perhaps they should tarp the stadium with more T&A pics? It's better than looking at people not sitting in seats that exist.

1 ) Tear down the nets, allows fans to get game balls the same way baseball does.

2 ) Raffle off jerseys and other stuff at halftime and the end of the game.

3 ) Allow fans to hear a few minutes of the radio calls between the home team's coaches after the game in the Stadium only on key plays for the game with the jumbotron showing the results of the plays.

4 ) Allow season ticket holders a pass to 30-minute tour the coaches press box, the locker room, and other related areas typically restricted during the off season. Limit the tours to 50 per group. Cost, FREE.

5 ) Create a free app for various alerts.

SteelerFan448B Baseball is talking more nets for fan safety.

Footballs don't kill people and you know when its coming your way for the most part.

They pretty much do this with Steeler Nation Unite.

What do they raffle?

I'd rather see periodic live coverage on RedZone during commercials.

That too, but what do you think of Allowing fans to hear a few minutes of the radio calls between the home team's coaches after the game in the Stadium only on key plays for the game with the jumbotron showing the results of the plays?

Steelers already have one of these.

I did not know. Is the App any good?

You basically ignored almost every point/fact I made (i.e. why stadium was built so large, endless losing seasons, small city, only 3k less fans on avg. than at Steeler games).

I guess I will just move on if you aren't even going to address the assertions made. No sense in just repeating myself if you aren't going to address any of the valid points.

Footballs don't kill people and you know when its coming your way for the most part.

I get that, but it's really not much of an incentive to go to a game if you ask me.

What do they raffle?

All kinds of prizes and they do it throughout the year. I've won a VIP experience at training camp, which included a Q&A session with Bill Hillgrove and Rocky Bleier, field access, dinner and autographs from a couple of players. I've also won the chance to wave the huge Terrible Towel before a game. It was awesome.

That too, but what do you think of Allowing fans to hear a few minutes of the radio calls between the home team's coaches after the game in the Stadium only on key plays for the game with the jumbotron showing the results of the plays?

Eh, would rather see that at home on their website or on NFL Network. I'm ready to get out of the stadium and not sit in traffic after the game is over.

The offseason goes from January/February-August, still didn't answer my question unless you are talking about during the entire offseason.

I did not know. Is the App any good?

Very good.
