Starkey: Steelers should go after Malcolm Butler...

I think they did have some decent mid-range money for a CB to replace and upgrade William Gay (and still have room to draft someone as well and have Golson back). But it just didn't work out in the market.

The bigger issue to me is still OLB.

And of course we'll talk about it and debate it for the next 4-5 years.... :-)

WE JUST spent another OLB pick for BUD!

How about HIM stepping up an being a full time productive starter?

Before that Shazier inside! How many more you want?

The 3-4 defense was designed to stop the RUN - and NOBODY is running the ball to win championships anymore!

TWEENERS ARE GONE! Steelers can't have their pick anymore, why can't they realize this?

If the Steelers can't pick studs on defense anymore, maybe they should stick to offense for a change.

I think it's Takk McKinley....

You heard it here first. I'm not a big fan of his tape. I think he is out with his shoulder surgery until August (so no OTA's). But I just have a gut feeling Tomlin (and Colbert who is the ultimate yes-man) will fall in love with him and draft him at #30 no matter what if he is available (and I think he will be with the way things are headed).

I think the card is already written in pencil....

You know who I want - OJ Howard!

or another #1 WR would be good too

40 pts a game! Nobody can stop us!

Didn't he test poorly?

How do you feel about Lawson, Rivers or Watt?

I don't make any move that gives the Pats another first round pick.

**** THE PATS!!!!!

Yeah...everyone wants to design a D that will stop the *'s. Part of that plan should NOT be giving that very team an extra first round pick in the draft. and I don't want no ******* *'s players, either.

The bigger issue to me is still OLB. I'm glad Jarvis Jones is gone and he doesn't give the Steelers an easy way out on that position. Everyone knows Harrison can't play 1000 snaps this year, so what is the Steelers' plan exactly right now? Chickillo? Moates? At ROLB? Really? Doesn't seem good. And I'm afraid they are going to force a pass rusher in round 1 no matter what the ******* big board looks like when we pick.

And I suspect it could be a 2nd round graded guy that they will rush to the podium because they draft with the blinders on (at least it seems that way to me). I don't know who that is yet but I guarantee there will be a highly rated player that falls to us in round 1 and we just rush up with our favorite pass rusher on a piece of paper we probably wrote down in pen on April 20th.

And of course we'll talk about it and debate it for the next 4-5 years.... :-)

I would have like to see Jarvis come back at least as a back-up. With Harrison's age, Jarvis could spell him for a few series and even a few games if needed. He always seemed to have a good attitude and played hard. Losing Jarvis (just the body of an experienced OLB who at times, although minimal, could flash and make a play) really put our depth at the position at risk. Yes you can draft a rookie OLB but they rarely make an impact if at all on a season.
