Special Teams are ATROCIOUS......Danny Smith needs to be FIRED!!!

I even saw 2DL in critical times, could have had 39 seconds with one time out just before the half but elected to save the two for eternity & the 10 seconds, just in case. I realize we are stuck but it's a far cry from STEELERS FOOTBALL.

true and I'm not saying Tomlin is doing a good job....but he is not alone on making personnel decisions...

The offense is a clusterfuck at best. but the defense has shown improvement since the Fitzpatrick trade.

Steelers football wouldn't give up leads in the 4th quarter like this one is and they wouldn't be fumbling at key points either.

BEEN saying it for quite some time now. LAST year he was ranked 27th in the league, totally unacceptable. A special teams coach can be fired in the middle of a season without much transition. Danny "BUBBLE CHEECKs" should have never been brought back this season. Special teams can be handled by a wide variety of anyone. Cowher even ran our special teams at times but know I am NOT asking our current coach to do that. IT is the third facet of the game and 27th doesn't cut it. ****, multiple times today our ST players abandoned their lanes, our return game is NON-existent as the return personal is substandard and who do you think makes that decision......... bubble cheecks anyone?????

he just needs to tell boz to kick for a touch back every time and switz needs to go offers nothing at all if moncrief useless fingers are healed dress him and have as risky it may sound a rotation of holton and juju ar KR
 
We are in deep trouble at WR, I think Washington seoarated his shoulder today and that leaves us with Holton, Switzer and Moncrief as our 3rd 4th and 5th WRs putrid at best.

There is some very good talent on the roster, you just don't see much developement. This defense could be really special with the right tutelage. I think the entire defensive staff should be unemployed and in 12 plus seasons I haven't seen anything that coach Tomlin does particulary well. Gameplans, adjustments, game management, player developement, and staff building have all been slightly above average at best.
 
Can;t think of a coaching staff outside the Phins and the Skins that would do worse with this team than Tomlin and company. Any competent head coach has 3 wins at this point.

Yup. I got crap from friends when Cool Shades won Cowher's super bowl. I insisted that he had no idea what he was doing, but was just Mr. Negative. Whatever. I stand behind it. He is in way over his head. No matter who gets this dumpster fire will have some rebuild time before we get to where we need to be.

I have no ******* idea why Artie extended this guy even for one season. Why? I think we have enough talent with better coaching we could have a decent season. I think the youngsters Mason and Dev. Hodges haven’t done bad at all considering one guy figured he be holding a clipboard all year and had never thrown a pass in the NFL and the other guy was on the PS. We can win with Mason and maybe even with Duck, but the coaching, game plan and lack of adjustments are setting these players up to fail.

Just seen on Bleacher Report that Dan Snyder, who fired Jay Gruden yesterday, listed three coaches he wants as his replacement.

I will type up a nice resume for Shades and send it to Snyder.


They added Ray Sherman for something, maybe he knows how to coach ST's. I mean, he was **** as an OC but maybe there's a chance.

I give Tomlin a pass on 65-70% of the crap that gets slung at him on here, but keeping Smith around all these years is the definition of madness.

I would argue that Joey Porter was better at his job than Danny Smith is at his.
