Something I thought about today.

I think some people here are using the word Elite too lightly. There sure are good, great QBs and then you have elite, those who carry the team and covers its deficiencies with outstanding play. Elite is a word kept for only the best of the best, Tyrod Taylor, mariota, carr elite? Gtfo

Name an Elite QB in the NFL right now, then compare Taylor's 2015 numbers to that guy. He was 7th in the league in passer rating.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRating/seasontype/2

And no one said they were elite RIGHT NOW. We're talking the next three years here. There is potential in the players named.

Ben Roethlisberger's numbers rank with guys historically. He deserves to be considered elite because even though his day to day numbers seem sort of "meh" to the casual observer, his numbers are absolutely consistently in the top tier of "are you shiting me?" over his career. His completion percentage and YPA are crazy when considered in the context of the all-time QBs.

When you look at how he does over a season, sure - he's among the top 7 or 8. Fine. But when you look at the entire NFL historically, he's STILL in the top 10 or 15. EVER. That's elite.

I heard this same thing about the SeaChickens a few years back. While they are still a force, they are beatable. The Panthers will be also.

That will be a fun NFC rivalry in the making. The Seachicks and the Panthers. The Steelers and Cincy is gonna be a fun one, a lot of flags will be thrown though

You have to do it for 5 years to be elite. Anyone can have a good season. The other teams have tape on them now. Let's see if they can keep it up. I don't worry about the young qbs too much.

10-6 with the toughest schedule in the league. You can add at least two more wins if Ben does not miss those games. We could have easily been a 12-4 team or better, with an easier road to travel in the AFC playoffs. All that without Bell, Pounce, or Beachum. Yes, We could dominate for the next 3 years.

I think next year is going to be epic. I just hope the hell nobody does any dumbshit in the offseason
