Our team has great legacy

Heath-and-Muth.jpg

Poor Muth. He's got some very big shoes to fill.
All Heath did was whatever you needed him to do. Every down, every game.

Such a workhorse. Love Me some Heath.

Fun trivia. Who still remembers his college nickname?

Freiermuth is doing exactly that and filling those shoes thus far. Time will tell.

I too loved Heath to no end of his play / attitude / teamatemanship.................... nice to see someone at TE with possible similar traights.

Guru for the win.

I always thought that was a weird nickname for him because he was nothing like the "young money" crew that came to the Steelers. Heath was never a showboat. When he scored a TD, he more often than not either handed the ball to the ref or simply dropped it on the field.

Definition of blue-collar.

Muth is doing much the same.

Muuth needs to hit the weight room big time this off season. Another 20-25 lbs would make him deadly.
Somewhat. Have to build on those routes and the ability to separate. So you need an element of speed mixed in. Coach Shaw would do the trick, Ike (Taylor) recruit these kids. Claypool and Juju would benefit as well.

Ya, that was my immediate thought too Slash. Too much emphasis on bulking up will ultimately slow him down a step or two and in this NFL, that's kinda a big deal.

What WOULD be nice is if all the receivers figured out how to get some separation earlier in their routes. Clearly Ben has either been told, or he really likes to get rid of the ball quickly. It is important for the receivers to have routes and skillsets that give them a little separation a couple seconds into the route in order to make things a bit easier.

(This post brought to you by Captain Obvious)

Will Captain Obvious please tell the team that separation four yards behind the line of scrimmage does not do the trick?

Thanks

Fun fact… when we did one of our plants in Virginia we stayed right next to his hometown… the applebees there had a shrine devoted to him
