Some of the Media in Pgh.Continue to back Tomlin

Ya know I just read a story by Mark Madden and he brought up an interesting point. He said Art II if he really wanted to dig down and find out what the problems are he should ask former assistant coaches and former players to get their insight. They have nothing to lose or no fear of reprisal from Tomlin or the Steelers. I thought that was a good place to start if Art II wants to try and find out what the hell is going on with his team.

This coaching from the gut **** is killing this team. See what happens. Moron!

What bigs me about the whole Ridley thing is this, he knows he has fumble issues. I get the fact he wants
JSam to catch a breather, instead of running Ridely, just keep throwing until JSam is ready to run again.

Mrs. Ghost just mentioned that C.J. Anderson ran for 189 yesterday for the Rams, filling in for Gurley..Is this the RB who was on the street and mentioned here as a replacement for the injured Conner?

If so, would've liked to have had him running on that 3rd and 2 instead of Ridley...
 
LOL the PM show with fillaponi and that dipshit from Cleveland, Mueller hate Ben, bash him every chance they get, actually blamed him for the Steelers not making the playoffs, Mueller did anyways.

Hell Tomlin said as much after the Hogan TD. Tomlin said it wasn't Burn's fault, it was his fault for not getting the signal in quick enough because he was bitching about a previous play

We’ve been running a bullshitters “finesse” defense very since cowher brought in LeBeau. And Tomlin and butler are making huge mistake trying to keep it in place. It is a very a difficult defense to pick up and implement in the best of circumstances with great players but with the revolving door of players coming and going, not being able to afford talent due to the cap, maybe most importantly, longer off season which gives the coaches less time to implement complex systems, it is impossible to employ this system with linebackers like L.J Fort getting most of the snaps. The media is as responsible for proping up this bullshitter system and the great bullshitter we have cheering it on, coach Tomlin, as is management. Everyone is just too use to winning here, but hey, just how much wing are we actually doing? This is a “what have you done for me lately” league time for everyone to wake up and its the media’s job to wake everybody up. Time to get our heads out of our ***** we need change!!!!
 
I tell you why I like Mike Munchak as HC. Yes I know his previous experience wasn't so good BUT look at what he has done to the OL for the Steelers!
They used to be a cut and paste line for years after Coach Noll. We would have a blue chip center and 1 very good guard but overall a shaky group that hoped for a steller defense that would bail them out.

Now the roles are reversed. The O line is the strength and the Defense? (Gosh that hurts to say as a Stiller fan but the truth).

Mike Munchak came in and quietly, but effectively, improved technique and quality of the overall O line. What have the other coaches done?

I think the truth lies with Art Rooney II. Smart, articulate lawyer but he just doesn't give me the feel that his father and grandfather had about what is needed for a football coach.

BTW, can we stop the "loaded with talent" talk? We have decent players but if we were that loaded why are we 8-6-1?

I was the one pleading to sign him, but all the "board experts" here still have their noses so far up the Rooneys ***** they never listened

This ^^^^^^^^^^. I don’t see them moving on from Butler. Statistically the defense is better. We lost games for all sorts of reasons not JUST the defense. The defense is no where near good enough, but I’ll be surprised if they fire Butler.

Rooneys cant tell tomlin to keep hands off the Defense without undermining him as the Head Coach. Only way this goes down is butler is let go and takes the fall. New DC comes in,, Then maybe Tomlin is told behind closed doors to keep hands off and let coordinators do what they were hired to do. (This is all speculation, I know)

The "feel good" article fails to really ficus on the point that the Steelees have no ******* control whatsoever if they get a chance to go to the playoffs.

Tomlin is SUCH a tool.
