So I don't have any links at the moment, but guys are talking about some new additions (and others) that have raised their eyebrows in camp so far:

Donte Moncrief - Said he was a really smooth route runner and very physical (which surprised me).

James Washington - Almost like night and day in his conditioning and his confidence.

James Conner - He's cut, he's mean, he's ready to kick some *** basically.

Devin Bush - Yeah it's not football in pads, but the word is his athleticism is incredible. I mean we knew this already but seeing it in action apparently really wow'd a couple guys, including Cam Heyward. Just hope the guys in front can help keep him clean.

Anyways, nothing earth-shattering or in-depth analysis here, just a few blurbs so far.

And just an observation here, but I think barring injury, T.J. Watt could have the type of year that gets him mentioned for DPOY.

News is news it doesn't have to be earth shattering. I heard some of the same things, they have to carry it over to pads mind you. But good to hear regardless. Like TJ said it has to start somewhere and this is the time you usually start stacking. I know some think we will drop off on O. But l like what I am hearing from Washington and Donte. That could be a very attractive trio, and then add in McDonald. And if you can get a rookie to outperform our Switz army knife and Eli. That should help that O stay productive.

I don't know if Watt will ever be that elite pass rusher that we see in JJ, Miller, Mack, etc., but he is quickly developing into one of the best all-around defensive players in the league.

I wouldn't bet against him, the man has a crazy good work ethic. I know he drops into coverage a considerable amount of time that might hold his sack stats down more than simply not being able to put up what they do. The second year at his favorite side of the field? That's enough to tiger me some greats, Tony.

you can say that again

Good point that he has multiple responsibilities, but even so, he had 13 sacks and 6 FFs last season and I honestly think he's just scratching the surface. This dude is going to be a superstar in my opinion.

Like hearing about this kind of news instead of that OLD bullshit meMEme crap.

TJ is just getting started and yes he will put up GREAT numbers. Really like OP list of scuttlebutt, awesome.!!!!!

Nice watch and scroll down to find a few more. I always love hearing about the STEELERS and video gives a little more personal touch but know I also like reading about them too.

Maybe, with better ILB play, he can get rid of some of those responsibilities and not have to drop back for coverage?

Nothing earth-shattering, but a steady stream of good indicators, in my opinion. And if I may be so gullible, I even thought the video of the D having a steak grill off looked promising towards their chemistry.

And with Washington, I think most of us, me included, forgot he made some very nice plays late in the season, and now he has a year under his belt and is in much better shape. I really like our WR unit and this is ASSUMING the rookie will do virtually nothing, as most rookie WRs do not (as Washington last season). JuJu, Moncrief and Washington should be a formidable trio, if healthy. Add in Vance, Conners, Samuels and Snell, and look out.

[sarcasm-font] I think you are forgetting Bud "Wait till they see me NOW" Dupree! [/sarcasm-font]

I'm gonna go with Armchair Analyst.

Yea man I agree. Idk what he’s there for other than moral support at this point lmfao. Mediocre at best on the field but a great public representative for the team. Was just wondering why he sticks around.

Perhaps he loves the team and the fans, and misses playing.

He has some good moments here and there, don't get the diss.

He absolutely could if that was his sole focus but they have him dropping into coverage a ton. Even with that, he had a ton of sacks in only his 2nd year.

He signed with Cards last year but ended up on IR then released. He is not on any roster at this time as far as I know.

Watt's motor is running full bore on each play and seems to be worn down at end of season when he truly is needed. Someone needs to step up and be able to play a consistent role to rest Watt.

I have a feeling he will be rock solid from beginning to end this year. Provided he stays healthy of course.

That magic third year is often the year it all comes together for players...

Watt will be showing what most here are saying.............. Dupree will take another step up but won't be able to live up to the expected total superstar status that most here think he should be. Add in the safety tandem and other existing parts and this "D" will improve vastly over last year, he'll I'd think the "D" actually hold and wins some games this season. All hinges on the "true" defensive CORDINATOR...........
