Aybody who has seen the Univ of Miami play this year has seen the Turnover Chain, the huge gold rope pimp chain that the player gets to wear on the sideline after he causes a turnover. The whole team rallies behind it.

The steelers need their own version

The Missed Tackle Chain

Good luck with that...............................

Salute the nation

If a professional athlete needs something like that to get motivated then they should not be a professional athlete.

And yet, the Steelers AND the Pens do something similar. At the beginning of the year, Smith gave the special teams player of the week some kind of symbolic award (I think it was a staff/cane or something). The Pens award a Steelers helmet to the player who played the most "hardnosed" game during a win. Those professional players get hyped to win those simple awards

Having a locker room award is a little different than standing on the sideline with some jewelry on.

They are saving themselves for the playoffs

Ahh, my apologies. I thought you said that "If a professional athlete needs something like that to get motivated then they should not be a professional athlete". I was merely pointing out that similar motivational tactics have been used on a professional level. I personally don't think they NEED them. However, I believe they appreciate them.

Looks girlish

they can give one each to their *******. Problem solved.

Not the missed tackle chain but the missed tackle skirt. Make the dude who misses wear a bright pink skirt until he goes back on the field and in between each series until he makes another tackle.

NFL rules prohibit anyone other than Br*dy from wearing a pink skirt.

Maybe practice tackling not celebrations.

Now that is a perfect idea. Too much time spent on bullshit. I'd honestly have a portion of training camp dedicated to tackling. You could bring in rugby guys,..**** even wrestlers have way better take down skills. This tackle high arm crap just sucks. I swear half of them are scared to get a boo boo. Square the hell up. They should have learned this **** in pee wee football.
