Saying the steelers don't have much of a chance without Williams. ******* Cincy is playing with their backup qb.

Ben Tate flashbacks. They need to realize Fitz Toussaint is a Michigan Wolverine, he will be more than adequate.

Steelers sign RB Abou Toure to practice squad. Ok now I may be nervous :bi_polo:

Give Fitz extra reps in practice and go from there. No need to bring in anyone else except to back him up if necessary.

The STEELERS thrive in this sort of an underdog role. BRING it on but I've never heard of off the street media, winning any games.

Salute the nation

I'm worried about this matchup. While the Bengals backup QB has been mostly dinking and dunking the past few weeks, that team still is loaded on offense. And it's concerning that Ben has been "off" the past couple weeks and Martavis has gone missing.

I still believe we will win but it's close to a toss-up for me. Perhaps the biggest thing in our favor is how easily the Bengals might turn into the Bungles if we can just get a small, early lead.

Actually we are favored by 2.5 points according to Vegas. I think the national media believes in us more than the local guys.

Not real familiar with the guy, but Steeler Depot has an article on him. Sounds like a pretty promising young talent.

Let those ******** have their predictions and **** about not having a chance. I think the Steelers 53 will have a greater input as to the results of the game. Those ********!

I'm not saying the media has anything to do with the outcome, just gets old turning the radio to hear talk about the game and all it is, is them saying they don't have much of a chance without Williams.

Just listen to Tunch and Wolf in the morning if you want some actual insight into games and they tell it like it is.

Tunch and Wolfe are great. They know what the hell they're talking about having played in the trenches in the NFL for years, not like some of these idiots. Listen every morning during the season.

I think the local media sees the defense for what it is and keenly remembers Tomlin is 0-3 in his last playoff games.

They also remember what happened when Bell got hurt, and Tomlin did not pick up a back ASAP.

But if Willaims can't go, then Ben has to throw it 45-50 times. Ben has not been seeing the field well lately, and I think lost a little zip on his passes because he's throwing it often.

Me personally, I think we win but I the game is close to 50/50

There is some real b@ll washer out there. The make nice types who never have a bad thing to say and can only see the glass half full.

That's okay.. This team needs 100% urgency to thrive

Well we certainly won't forget that stat since you tell us about it 3 times per day. Seriously, Coach, do you know how stupid it is to "count" the loss to the Packers in Super Bowl 45 in your homemade stat but leave out the 2 playoff wins that got us into Super Bowl 45? It's completely arbitrary. Doing things like that really compels people to say things like "an idiot making an argument with statistics is still an idiot".

Well Lewis is 0-6.

Alright, another one of Coach's brilliant observations! Y'all know that he can tell the difference between a guy that runs a 4.42 and a noticeably slower guy that runs just a 4.47, right?

Seriously, Coach, you think Ben has lost zip because of throwing an extra 20 passes? When he had a nice 4-game break in the middle of the season?

Al,

I can tell what slow pass to the sideline looks like. You either see it or your don't. My point is he's been throwing it a lot and its the end of the season. Hence right now Ben has lost some zip on his passes. Its a reason why he has had an interception problem lately.

I love how you always restate your point as if we didn't understand it the first time. We understood it, Coach, but we thought it was dead wrong. Ben had 4 games to rest in the middle of the season. His arm is "fresher" than other QBs that aren't throwing so many picks. Ben has thrown a bunch of interceptions lately because he's either been misreading the coverage or (if he's reading the coverage correctly) because he is forcing the ball into tight coverage. He is simply making bad decisions.

You're out of your mind. He really lost a lot of zip while he was hitting Wheaton and Heyward - Bey deep down the middle of the field.
Its Dec/Jan it is windy and cold. Passes are effected by this.

Yeah that absolute laser he threw to AB between two defenders vs. the Browns looked like he had no problem with arm strength.

If this O Line keeps the BenGal lard ***** off Bens back he could throw 60-70 times if needed. Just so he throws it to jerseys that are Black, White and Gold!

This should cheer you up

Will running back depth doom Steelers for second straight playoff?

PITTSBURGH -- Mike Tomlin is talking up Fitz Toussaint, calling him a talented, hard-working, blue-collar guy. He said the whole staff was excited to see him get extended run on Sunday at Cleveland, where he was "very, very capable" in the passing game as a blocker.

That all sounds great. But those words won't quell the concerns of Steelers fans who see chaos surrounding the running back position for the second straight playoff run.

Wasn't Bell hurt in the last game of the year??
