So, is Ben’s knee all better?

Throwing down the field was the difference in the second half. It was amazing to see. My question is, what took so damn long? In the second half of the 15th game of the season, this offense looked good. Really good. So it makes me wonder......why now, all of a sudden? What changed? Personally, I find it hard to believe this Steelers team has been incapable of this all season long. The win is great, but now you start thinking of what might have been. It makes no sense. None of it.

my deep hope is that HCMT took play calling away from RF at the half and let Canada do it in the second.

They went no huddle, Ben calls the majority of the calls in the no huddle, his qb rating in the no huddle this season is close to 140, but we've barely used it the past month.

I assume you have seen HCMT's PC's in the past where he discusses raising hell, making changes, and things of that nature? He isn't going to tell the press ****. Frankly, that is one quality I like about him. I know fans hate it, but I prefer he do exactly what he does - use a lot of words to say nothing at all. I prefer the dirty laundry stay in house.

Once Ben was allowed to throw the ball down field plays were working. So who was keeping this from happening. So doe we all agree Ben had been held down and once he was let free we pulled the game out. Wonder if Tomlin will see this on film review.

Isn't that the same thing they did to Mason last year??? We've got some real geniuses game planning this team.

Kevin Dotson deserves some props from the board. He was up against Buckner, one of best tackles in football, most of the game and held his own, going forward that is some good fuking news! Ben don’t play well with big defensive tackles hanging off of him. Gives a little hope to our running game too. Good game Dotson now keep it the *** up!. (That’s what she said)

Big Dot upgrades the O-line.

I love some Big-Dot. I am about to pull the trigger on the replay package and start reviewing all games. Isolating on K-Dot is high on the priority list.

Take some valium before checking out Al and Chukes footage.

Seriously though would enjoy that breakdown.

I've been calling for him to get back in asap since the Ravens game and when he was healthy. Wanted to move Feiler back to RT and Dot to LG

Well, he's obviously lying. Because if they "LET" Ben throw it downfield in the second half, that implies they were keeping him from doing so in the first. That means that the adjustment was letting Ben throw downfield in the second half rather than handcuffing him to those little dink 'n dunk passes.

As soon as he completed that first deep ball down the field it started opening up the dink and dunk stuff.

The Steelers were plenty capable earlier in the season; in fact, they were averaging nearly 30 points over their first 10 games.

Here’s a thought. What if we have sucked on purpose to keep teams guessing what we will be like going into the playoffs? Follow me here. For how many weeks have we played the same old offense and barely throw past 5-10 yards and just once it looks like something is seriously wrong with Ben he opens up and looks like the Ben from a couple of years ago? The same game plan in almost every game and no change and then all of a sudden in the 2nd half we are a completely different team. Also, don’t give me Ben gave them a pep talk about how it looks like they are not having any fun, and all of a sudden it’s a different team on offense and more importantly a different Ben. Then Tomlin had the nerve after the game and said they did go deep in the 1st half but just missed on some plays. We were watching a different game. Something just doesn’t seem right and it’s the only thing I can come up with.

The good old rope a dope strategy. I did think about this myself because I find it so hard to believe that our professional coaches can be so bad / bland.

It's honestly the only thing I can come up with and I'm not even a conspiracy theorist.

Just
Just checking. Since Tomlin was taking all the blame for the first half performance, does he get any credit for the second half? Said another way, if you’re going to praise Ben for the second half, are you going to have him shoulder an equivalent amount of blame for the first?

Somebody said something at halftime today. From what I infer from the presser and the halftime “TomLin quote” he felt the big plays were there. I think somebody said keep pushing it down the field. And OMG how good did Ben look on some of those throws??? That pass to Diante was perfect!

They clearly shot his knee up during half time.

It may be worth giving him a week off.
This is what looks like happened the past two games. This week was better than last because they also threw the ball downfield often, after Ben was "better".
