Skip Bayless and his Crystal Ball

It's easy to dislike Skip Bayless. Anytime I see him talking, I get the impression he believes it's the most important thing that has ever been said.

Bayless doesn't bother me because I realize what he is. He's a sports shock jock. He used to be a respected journalist but that didn't get him paid like saying crazy **** on ESPN got him paid. He saw print journalism was dying and jumped ship at the right time.

I rarely watch ESPN because that type of stuff is now the majority of their coverage. They redesigned their website to incorporate Twitter. They have now completely given up editorial control to Twitter. It's a clown show. And the little bit that is serious, they expect you to pay extra to read.

I don't hold it against Bayless that he selling out. I don't take him seriously either.

I never minded Skip. He is what he is, knows his role with the company and plays it well. By comparison, Stephen A. Smith is all over ESPN and they try to push him on us as a serious reporter. It's too bad because I think he has lot of good connections, but just can't take him seriously.

He is in sports "entertainment."

It's key to consider both words.

And he is mostly entertaining, at least to me. Other than Jay Mohr, he is the only guest host for Jim Rome who is as entertaining as Pimp in the Box, himself. When Skip hosted the show, I laughed as much as when Jim did. And Skip may miss some predictions, but he is also dead on the $ for a lot of what he asserts.

Figures you would like Bayless, brain dead fanboy of a brain dead talking head, stay on your meds.

Oh, it's my pet troll. How nice. Your punctuation is atrocious. Stay in school and do your homework. You will need writing skills above the level of texting if you want a better job than pushing a broom.

You're an idiot that knows little about football. How does Newtons ballpark taste loser ?

I can buy a lot of brooms with the $4,800 I won on the Super Bowl, how did you do moron ?

Bayless is wrong so often, the gamblers must love him. Just go the other way. I hear Bayless is a really nice guy. They just pay him to play the fool and foiler to draw in viewers.
