Sign ONE upper tier free agent to make a real run in 2016....so who?

No NFL team has ever bought a championship, many have screwed themselves trying. Everybody forgets this.
What do you think Denver has done? They went out and signed a few studs on defense and now they are in the Super Bowl with the number one ranked defense.

I think one isn't enough. This organization has to deal with the reality that Ben is only going to be playing at this level for maybe 3 or 4 years if that. His style of play and the injuries he incurs because of it do not lead me to believe he is going to be playing at a high level when he reaches 37-38 years old like some other QB's that have avoided hits during their careers. In order to win another one while Ben is still playing great, some major upgrades on defense are needed and there simply isn't time to wait for young talent to develop. The secondary needs proven commodities that can be difference makers immediately.

How about Elway and Farve. Not exactly hit free.

These, plus that Manning guy. The Steelers made great, team changing signings before. Kevin Greene, Jerome Bettis, John L. Williams, James Farrior, even Brent Alexander. The safety play was horrible before Brent came along, then Troy was drafted. A couple of smart additions will certainly help this team.

Not even close. Read the headline alone. Never advocated massive FA signings, said to sign ONE upper tier player, no more than that. And in case you forgot, signing ONE top player has placed teams over the top, allowing them to win a ring. Are we forgetting Reggie White, Deion Sanders and Charles Haley?

Drew Brees?

We need one good pass rusher and someone who can play man to man on a receiver not ten yards away. Any one out there????
