With Markus Wheaton looking like Limas Sweed, Rogers nursing a toe, and Coates looking like a one trick pony what should the Steelers do? How long can we wait to see if Wheaton will remember how to be the #2 guy? Doesn't appear like there is much out there though.

I say roll with what we have at WR. We need an OLB that can pressure the QB.

What's Ernie Mills up to nowadays, wonder if we could coaxe him out of retirement?

And finding one off the street this time of year is beyond implausible. We are what we are: a soft, zero pass rush, D with no teeth to speak of.

The Steelers need a few pass rushers. Tuitt, Heyward and Harrison are the only blitzing threats. Shazier is more of a cover guy who gets hurt easily. Timmons is not conditioned as a three down backer anymore. Jarvis. Nothing to be said. The offense had missed opportunities that kept them in a funk. Offense mistakes are coachable. Defense. Our guys just flat out don't have it

You would think with Heyward, Tuitt, and now Hargrave up the middle we wouldn't have to send an OLB to even get pressure. I think it's a domino effect after Dupree went out and now teams are realizing we can't get pressure so sit back and let your guy get open.

Wheaton had a bad day, how long has been been out? He is solid just needs game time. Glad he got it and called out. Coats is just like Bryant right now. Deep or nothing else. They are all young and raw and have to learn. Bringing in some vet from the list isn't going to do **** IMO. I'd be happy to bring one in and cut DHB however.

I'd say bring up Cobi Hamilton if you have to. those Steeler Depot guys said he was looking good in practice.

Then I realized those Steeler Depot guys also said Chickillo was unblockable in practice.

Those Steeler Depot guys as oracles are dead to me.

Don't knee jerk the situation. Wheaton hasn't played many if any live snaps. Only been practicing for three weeks. Once he gets a few more practices and live snaps he will be fine.

I dunno man, I hope you're right. I don't like his body language out there, looked overwhelmed and was dropping everything. Coates is too one dimensional for me, Eli is a slot guy. Damn, we miss Martavis more than I thought we would. I wouldn't mind it if they brought in some reinforcements. Good luck picking names off that list as far as who could help us at this stage.

I would have put in DHB in place of Wheaton. Wheaton clearly wasn't ready.

Wheaton IS our #2. When he gets back up to speed, this will be an afterthought. No one will be harder on him than himself. I expect better concentration, patterns, and hands next game.

DHB was clearly mugged in that "interception" in the red zone, he got hit in the arm before the ball came in and with the CB still facing DHB.
I know it wouldn't change a damn, the game was lost long before but that **** was a CLEAR Pass Interference in the end zone

They chart every play in practice and track stats. Way too much emphasis put on the performance in those reports.

Nice...maybe we could see if Weegie Thompson wants to catch a few as well.
