Should Troy Go into the Steelers Hall of Honor?

Troy Polamalu is the consummate professional. The guy played the game the right way and carried himself even better. I want to see the Steelers mend fences with him and get him into the Hall of Honor. I'd love to be in Heinz Field when this happens in front of the fans. It was a joy to watch him play football for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Just CURIUOUS, How do either of you know TROY is mad??? Did he have an interview (I missed) and said so or is it just a hunch. I haven't read anything where TROY says he is mad or holding a grudge. I think it's just a communication thing and he chose next year. The Rooney's have open arms towards him and I don't know of any players / fans etc that are mad.
The media has suggested it but it isn't fact as they are NOT uoteing HIM on anything.
TROY is definately one of the BEST STEELERS ever. If he is mad and staying away, then that is on him but until he either says it or makes it public, I can't jump to conclusions.

I read an article a year or so ago where his agent did say Troy was disgruntled at the way he felt the team shoved him out. He suggested that it will just take some time for Troy to heal up and get over it, but the wound was still open for him.

Thanks Steeler. Even though that was a year ago, I wonder if it still holds true today. Sometimes one would like to be the "fly on the wall" but we as fans just don't get the inside scoop like we would like. Either way, TROY gets his due time and we just have to wait.

Troy was larger than life IMO. He was the greatest Safety I've ever seen play the game. And yes, I know there are many great safeties in NFL history -- yes, Ronnie Lott -- and many greats of the past.
But I'm a homer at heart, and Troy made it exciting to tune in every Sunday because you never knew what was going to happen, but it was going to be exciting because this dude just had no regard for his own body, and did whatever he wanted to, essentially.
Troy is one of a kind, there will never be another like him.

Totally agree, most safeties were either big hitters around the LOS (Atwater) or great center fielder ball hawk type(Reed), Troy could do both at an elite level, he could make plays at every level of the field.
I don't think you'll get an argument from many on this. The fact that he was a game changer for such a long period of time puts him right into the HOF next year. He's among the best at his position to ever lace them up and he was beyond unique with his skill set compared to those who did one thing very well.
