Why do we think a guy off the street would be better than back-ups that have been practicing with the team all year?

LMAO, yes a proven NFL starter would not be better than Ridley (who has not been a starting back in 4 years) and who has not had one snap in 4 games now, and Samuels, who has never carried the ball 10+ times a game and is big enough to be a TE in the NFL. NFL playbooks are really not that complex, it is just a matter of learning the verbiage. There have been several teams in the past 2 years that have brought in a RB on a Monday and they played significantly on the following Sunday.
