James Conner was hurt last week. According to Mike Tomlin, Conner’s injury was not “major at all.” But there is still reason for concern. The current No. 2 back is*Jaylen Samuels,*a rookie who hasn’t seen much playing time at all. He offers some receiving ability but struggles mightily running between the tackles. And after that […]

Think long term. Sign hunt on the cheap.
Compared to young big Ben or Michael Vick the dog killer. he is no worse as far as the court of public opinion.

I hear Kareem Hunt is available

I'd take a chance at him. What he did is no different than any young adolescent 20 somethings do on a weekly basis on a night where booze and babes are combined! Media blew the whole thing out of proportions with headlines like "KAREEM GOES BERZERK!"

Yes.

Why bother. Picking up all-pros from another team couldn't fix this mess.

And Adrian Peterson rips off a 90 yd run TD!!!

We coulda had him for peanuts too, lol

Young Ben was never arrested or charged so yes that is worse in the court of public opinion, even if your opinion differs.

Agreed with signing Hunt. Every team has guys that have ****** up at one point or another. Might not help this year but do it

McCarthy was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His father was a firefighter and Pittsburgh Police officer as well as a bar owner, who raised McCarthy as a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.[

I wanted us to draft Hunt when he fell to the third round.
Watched him play college ball here in Toledo.
YES, he two hand shoved a woman.
YES, he kicked a woman ( I agree with what someone said in the thread about the incident.....he did not kick her like he was trying a 70 yard field goal. It was more of a GTFO push/kick ).
But most importantly, YES he lied to his employer about the incident. This is the biggest concern of the whole ordeal.
But agreeing again with the above comments, young kids do stupid things. What we saw on the tape was not in the same ballpark as Ray Rice nor Tyreek Hill ( no video, just description ). It's not good, but it's not like Vick nor what Ben was ACCUSED of.
I'd take the chance on him. He's got the skills for sure.
If this would be his one and only mistake................

We ran the ball 16 times against Denver and 17 times against the Chargers. I don't know how much difference it would make.

After the backlash of Vick, I can't see the Rooney's ever being the only team to claim a troubled, alleged domestic abuser released from another team. I would love to have his talent, but can't see that happening with the moral police.

****. That.

McCarthy is basically white Tomlin.

Lol

You think Ben would still be on this team if all that happened now instead of way back then?

Steelers would drop him in a heartbeat and 99.999999% on this board would back them

Excellent point and a telling stat. During their 6 game winning streak, they had 100+-yard rushing games in 5 of them. The lone one they didn't, against Jax, it took a last minute miracle from Ben to get the win.
