Here's one vote for yes. We've got to keep this swiss cheese defense off the field, and one way to do that is with a ball control rushing attack.

SPEECHless.

True but yesterdays G-A-M-E didn't allow us to run or not as much as I would like to have seen. While watching the game that was pretty obvious but in a perfect world the answer would be yes.

I say no until we get a new playbook. The coaches idea of a running game is a 2 TE formation and the passing game is exclusively shotgun...everyone and their mother knows a run is coming out of 2 TE sets. It's been that way for 5+ years and clearly Haley wasn't the issue because it's still happening.

The best was the drive after KC scored their first TD and we go 2 TE formation on 1st down and Conner get's blown up in the backfield for a 3 yard loss ...God forbid there's ever play action when the entire defense was expecting a run. The same scenario happened when Garrett blew up Conner and caused a fumble in the first game.

The offense is like watching a 10 year old play Madden. Need to pass...shotgun spread. Need to run...bring in the heavy formation.

Can't run much when you're down 21 F'n points. I think Ben has a losing record when he throws 40 or more passes in a game, probably because it means they're behind.

We were playing from behind the whole game and KC’s secondary is pure ****, especially without Berry

I would expect the coaches want to run the ball a lot more than they were able to yesterday

Connor was 8 rushes for 17 yards, one of those was 9 yards. Ben was, mostly, tearing the D apart.

Why would you stop what is working to go to something that isnt?

Oh yeah, when you're down by 3 TD's in the first half just keep plugging that ball up the gut!

You clowns that were blowing this defense like they were worth a **** are the ones that get the blame.

I told you we'd need 40 points a game to be competitive, but no, U wouldn't listen,

We could have run it to start the or down 0-7. But we love those short WR screens, and going deep without a fast WR that Ben over throws. Mix in a bad punt, and the defense has to stop them.

The Tampa game could be the game the &h^t hits the fan.

A ball control offense only works when your QB isn't greedy and willing to take what the defense gives them. That's not Ben, never will be.

He'll keep forcing the ball to AB or give lots of 3 n outs by throwing over everyone's heads, he'd do better by just saying this is Ju Ju s team now and look to him first, at least he looks open

JuJu has the makings of a legit #1 receiver in this league. He can do it all. Passing, route running, combative catches, speed, and he's the best WR blocker on the team.

JuJu is the man right now! Keep riding the bike.

This is right and I agree.

Short passes are comparable to rushes. Steelers have a lot of those available. Also remember DeCastro was out yesterday and he is a force on the line.

Last 2 games against KC BELL ran for 170 and 179 yards. CONNER 17 yards
At 2.1 ypc I wouldn't have ran it either?

Yesterday the chiefs were scoring in 2 or 3 minute drives. We killed them in time of possession so whatever the offense does is not helping our putrid defense. Resign tomlin !!!!!!

OMG are you crazy! What kind of analysis is this!

uhh, yeah. 8 rushes for 17 yards. One of those was for 9 leaving 7 of them for 8 yards. He did better in receiving than rushing.

And 2 of those remaining 7 carries were from the 1 yard line, one of which he plowed through 2 guys into the endzone. Another was a loss of 3 yards because the Chiefs completely blew up the play as he was getting the handoff.

Since you love comparisons...why not compare Bell's opening game last season against the Browns to Conner's this season? Bell: 10 carries for 32 yards and 3 catches for 15 yards with zero TDs. Conner: 31 carries 135 yards and 2 TDs with 5 catches for 57 yards. And the Browns have a much improved defense this year.

Not bad for a guy who costs about 1/10th less than what Bell is asking for, in his first career start and coming off a major injury.

The Chiefs only had 3rd down 5 times the entire game, that is incredible. They were gouging us so easily they didnt need the ball much at all. We had the ball for 5 more minutes than them , had 33 first downs and still can't stop them. It is not about running the ball anymore.

Incredible stat from yesterday, the cumulative QB rating for all QBS around the league was 105 QB rating. It is all about passing and stopping the pass in todays pussified NFL.

How about some more stats:

Stat of the day: Since 1940, NFL teams scoring 37+ points at home with 0 turnovers were 386-0.

The offense did alright.

You were listening to the game on the same radio station as Charles Davenport weren't you?
