Shazier is listed at probable for those of you who didn't set yourself on fire when he missed Wednesday's practice. The only player listed worse than probable is Cortez Allen who is questionable.
I don't mean to start something but if you go look at the depot report on Solder getting fined...the replay shows he was stalemating Jarvis w one arm. (he's holding the other down at his side as if to taunt Jarvis. Never noticed it before but the replay is pretty damning. Can you imagine Solder attempting to single arm block Deebo? Wow

I want some of what you're smoking! (reality, is all I smoke) The replay shows Jarvis pushing Solder back. (and THIS is the objective? He's supposed to dissengage) He also had his hand under Solder's face mask and was pushing up. That's not a stalemate. That's Jarvis with a win. (really?) Would have been a more decisive win if Jarvis had had sense enough to disengage and head towards the QB, but still a win. (Dead on. Now you're paying attention) Solder gets frustrated and takes a poke at Uncle J. Replay also shows that Solder was holding Jarvis (grabbing around the neck/shoulder) while being pushed back.
I understand that Jarvis is the whipping dog d'jour, but damn, let's keep stuff in the realm of reality.
Edit: Btw, can we get back to worrying about Shazier missing a day of practice now? Every thread doesn't have to have a Jarvis Jones mention.
Look at his stats today...I understand NOT wanting to talk about it. I don't know anyone of NFL size who couldn't disengage from a one arm hold like this one if allowed to use both arms. That's why it is alarming. It is bad technique to the extreme. I couldn't get away w this one armed hold on my kid and I outweigh him by 50#.
As far as getting back to Shazier? I digress. I feel shamed for hijacking the thread. Until Shazier shows me what we're missing by being sidelined, I'm not concerned about him being on the field, I just wonder when he is going to show me/us why we drafted him over Mosley.
