Hood of never seen the field in his rookie year had Smith not been placed on IR.
Woodley was heads and shoulders better as a rook than Haggans so he beat out Haggans easily in camp to start 08, Troy had to start since we moved up and payed a lot to move up from 9.
Kewin Lewis started in his 3rd year
Cant blame DL for Curtis Brown, Joe Burnett as those CB had thier shots but did nothing, Tombert really since Troy became injury prone never invested until last year into getting a dual S
Hood was the main backup for both DEs. He would have and did play before Smith got hurt. Woodley is exactly what I said he was... a starter by year 2. As far as Troy goes he played a lot as a rookie. He was great his 2nd year. It had nothing to do with his draft spot.
These are the excuses I hate. You admit that he plays young guys all the time but you have "reason" why he did it. So what? He played them. Would you play a young guy that sucked? People act as if LeBeau never played young players even when they were good.. which is a myth.
Again Shazier STARTED as a rookie. Tuitt played as a rookie. Jarvis STARTED as a rookie. Porter started his 2nd year. Smith started his 2nd year. Hampton started his rookie year. Who exactly hasn't he played? He hasn't played Thomas much but I'm sure there is a reason. If Butler doesn't start Thomas does that mean he doesn't play young players? It's just a bad myth.
