Seriously....How can you be happy with Vick's performance? Maybe it's just me.....

Exactly...im perplexed at how this loss revolves around Vick in any manner...Vick did his job..he managed the game well. He executed some nice called runs to keep the chains moving...he didn't turn the ball over. He did what the coaches asked....Scobee didn't do what the coaches asked...he had one job...ONE JOB. He failed at his ONE job.....

yea the one job he has been struggling with all season. Even the ones he made barely went through the upright. Sending him out for a 49 is putting him in a bad position. The coaching was piss poor here. He was put in a position to fail, just like Vick was with the empty backfields on 4th & 2

It's not about being 'happy' with Vick's performance, it's being satisfied he didn't force things to make the loss to the Ravens even worse. He mostly managed the game on a short week of preparation - something that any backup QB coming off the bench 4 days before would be expected to do.

He didn't turn the ball over. Flacco had two turnovers.

DHB wasn't a bright spot ? Coats coming in for relief of Wheaton wasn't a bright spot...Bell amassing over a buck in rushing wasn't a bright spot. What ****** game did you watch again ?

And here to agree with everyone else...........? Pack mentality...the notion of independent thought foreign on you ? How bad we sucked last night...? you didn't watch the game...admit it

You are correct, DHB did do OK. He made a great catch on a terrible high pass from vick on one occasion and a good catch on the TD. Other than that, 4 catches for 31 yards is not a "bright spot".

Coates had 1 catch for 11 yards, I don't call that a bright spot.

Bell - 129 yards on 22 rushes is a bright spot, but I expected them to lean on him more (not his fault, but Tomlin / Haleys fault). He should have gotten the call on 4th & 2 and 4th and 1. He could have done a LOT more, had he been given the chance. That darkens that as a bright spot.

Yes, I watched the game, with lots of disgust. Yes, our coaching sucked, our kicking sucked. Sorry Blitz, the part about "just here to agree with everyone else about how bad we sucked" was just venting. This one hurt. What should have been a win, turned into a cluster **** and it is only going to get harder in the coming weeks.

He did exactly what a ******* back up is supposed to do. Dont turn over the ******* ball.

Exactly, what did our defense do to Flacco? Made him turn it over twice.. if anyone sucked last night, it was Flacco.. afterall, he's their franchise "elite" QB.

Nothing to apologize for...

Savran just said (on 970) that in his 40 years on Pittsburgh radio, last night's loss was "one of the most disturbing."

Gerry Dulac gave Vick an A-! I'm curious if he has ever before given a QB who threw for all of 124 yards an A-.

My issues with Vick was the fact that he had 30yds throwing the football in two and a half quarters vs a terrible secondary. 3 for 15 on third down conversions is just awful. Yes Scobee was the worst player last night but you can't ignore the fact that if Vick continues to put up stats like he did last night he's not going to cut it. Vick's strength in passing is down field...not 5-10 yd passing game. I honestly think the Steelers need to rush Big Ben back in three weeks and have him ready for the Bungles game. If not this team will be 2-5 at the halfway point of the season and it will be all over for a team with Championship potential considering how difficult the back half of our schedule.

While last nights was bad.. I can think of quite a few more that top it. For example, losing to Tebow in a playoff game in OT.. that ends the season. Atleast we are only at week 4 so we can get better and have time to make a run once Ben is back.

I suppose other NFL teams might lose the same way, but it seems the Steelers are prone to these inertia losses. They should win by all means but somehow don't!

It happens to all teams... It's always more profound when it happens to your team.

I dunno, he didn't turn the ball over and hit AB right in the hands in the end zone which he dropped. 9 times out of 10 AB makes that catch.

This one, Tebow, the loss to the Bucs last year, 2009's unleash hell stretch, there's quite a bit of history with Tomlin and these kinds of **** show losses.

Nothing will ever compare to the loss against the Chargers and both Patriots losses in the championship games. How about the the loss to expansion team Houston where we rolled up 400 yards of offense to their less then a hundred at home and loss. Yeah only under Tomlin

This game the players had won and their idiot head coach Tomlin lost and f course a loss would have finished the Rats season. Instead it is the type of loss that we can't afford with our brutal schedule and having a ****** hand picked backup QB to lead us for the next 5 games.

nap time...

1. Never said only under Tomlin.
2. Championship games losses are not exactly the same as regular season losses to teams with losing records or a wild card game loss to an 8-8 team with a QB who was out of the league a year later. Having said that, the Charger championship game loss was Cowher's lowest low IMO. The other losses were at least to SB champion teams. But again, at least the Chargers were a playoff team and that was, after all, a championship game.
3. Yeah, the Texans one under Cowher was bad, the Jags one in their first season was lame too. As I said, I never said "only under Tomlin." However, in a shorter body of work, Tomlin has more of these kinds of games than Cowher. Cowher teams, for the most part, would feast on lesser teams during the regular season. Tomlin's have had a history of playing down.
