Season hangs in the balance with the impending Ben injury

Not breathing easy til I know for certain......still hoping for the best but yeah, maybe its time we look to the collegiate ranks for our future quarterback if hes out there.

Types of Lisfranc Injuries
There are three types of Lisfranc injuries, which sometimes occur together:

Sprains. The Lisfranc ligament and other ligaments on the bottom of the midfoot are stronger than those on the top of the midfoot. Therefore, when they are weakened through a sprain (a stretching of the ligament), patients experience instability of the joint in the middle of the foot.

Fractures. A break in a bone in the Lisfranc joint can be either an avulsion fracture (a small piece of bone is pulled off) or a break through the bone or bones of the midfoot.

Dislocations. The bones of the Lisfranc joint may be forced from their normal positions.

After reading a little about Lisfranc and the location in which the injury usually occurs.. I'll be shocked if it isn't the injury Ben has.

Hate to say it but, after only seeing the broadcast replay, my first reaction is Ben will be out for the rest of the season. Just looks bad, broken foot.
I'll be ecstatic if he only misses a few games.

I'm just thankful it happened on grass, and not artificial turf. I think if this happens on artificial turf, his career is over. Positive thinking...

Just heard on NFL Redzone that x-rays were negative, so nothing broken. He is getting an MRI tomorrow.

I'll try to stay positive. It didn't look good, the way the foot got scrunched up under all that weight. I pray Ben is ok and able to come back and play this year.

My uneducated guess is lisfranc. Season pretty much screwed with two of the three B's out.

I think he will be fine for next week. Someone has to be positive with all of the negative nancy talk here. His foot flexed in the best direction it could go. The fact that his toes are not broken or bones in the foot is encouraging. It could be a sprain and it could keep him out the rest of the season just about or he may be back next week

Ben, no LisFranc per Schefter

"Steelers initially suspected Ben Roethlisberger suffered LisFranc injury; feel relieved he didn't. Steelers play Browns next week before bye"

"Ben Roethlisberger has a mid-foot sprain and is expected to be sidelined "a few weeks", per source."

Ben's Foot..

Ben has a "mild" foot sprain..

Report by Fox says he will miss "multiple weeks"..

Then, rub some dirt on it and get back out there next week.
Nah, let Landry Jones play vs. Browns. Ben should be back after bye. Man, what a ******* relief!

If this is true then a big ****** sigh of relief........now, this few weeks could be 3-5....just get to the playoffs baby....lets just stay afloat til the end

The Steelers can. It's up to them if they want it or not
