No pro or college sports that require direct contact for the next 3 weeks. My nightmare is coming to fruition.

Niners reside in that county. They have 2 home games over the next 3 weeks. They will need a place to relocate. All per Schefter.

Let it start. The dims city will be the first. And most likely the only.

St. Louis 49'ers

Salute the nation

So St. Louis 49ers?

I assumed Oakland is closer to their fan base. Is there a stadium in San Jose as well? That would be another close option.

I'm also surprised they haven't worked out a no fan exemption for professional leagues. I'd assume the NFL would have been in talks with them immediately.

Good thought but San Jose is in Santa Clara county.

The stadium in Oakland is a dump. I read Arizona is a possibility.

They can play it almost anywhere because there won't be many fans allowed. They can play at BYU, at the Fiesta Bowl, or even the blue turf at Boise.

I'd rather keep this game on the west coast. Oregon Ducks have a stadium, so does San Diego. LV on an off week would happily host. Plenty of options when you move to college stadiums.

I'm guessing the NFL will schedule the 49ers to play one of their 2021 home games in Mexico City next year just to stick it to Santa Clara's coffers due to lost pre and post game revenue. I realize it hurts local businesses but it will take a chunk of taxes with it as well as parking revenue etc. Many locals will see it for what it is and allot of anger will be directed at local government. The 49ers might even be extremely agreeable because I'm sure they're fuming over this.

I too have heard Arizona. They probabaly want out of Cali if they think this will happen in other counties.

That said, Chargers vacated San Diego. Did that stadium get destroyed?

If they aren't allowing in fans, then anywhere in the Bay area that will host them. Oakland wouldn't be a bad option. It allows the team to stay close to their homes and not leave their families to another state. Cal Berkeley has a big stadium they could play in as well.

Good call. I can definitely see that happening.

Who gives a **** how big the stadium is? No fans allowed, at all, because the incidents of Chinese flu transmission from attending a sporting event are so numerous that public officials cannot say how many caught the Chinese flu from attending a football game.

My high school could host the game.

They need an NFL sized field for the game and locker rooms. A college stadium would be ok and would probably have double the amount of lockers given their roster sizes. Cal Berkeley or Oakland would be the two ideal spots. Wonder how the Coliseum looks right now?

49ers will host their Weeks 13 and 14 home games against the Buffalo Bills and Washington Football Team at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

Probably the main reasons Oakland and Berkeley weren't considered is the Alameda County Health Department and the Coliseum Authority which is made up of City of Oakland council members and Alameda County Supervisors (plus four appointed cronies) would never allow it. They would be defeating the whole purpose of their brothers and sisters on the Santa Clara county board of Supervisors.

Berkeley actually has their own Health Department (one of four cities in Ca. that does) but would rule in the same manner for the same reason.

Just sucks for the players now that they have to commute for home games. They can't even practice in their practice facility. Such a ****** way for the county to treat a prime business.

Yep, not even sure how the 14 day mandatory quarantine for people traveling 150 miles outside the county and returning affects the players. Will they even be allowed to visit their families over the holidays.
