Ryan Switzer speaks candidly about the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger

One of the best surprises of the 2018 season was the play of wide receiver Ryan Switzer. When Pittsburgh made the trade bringing Switzer from the Oakland Raiders, it wasn't clear what the Steelers were getting. After all, the Raiders had just traded for Switzer from the Dallas Cowboys four months earlier.

But Switzer found a home with the Steelers and the rest, as they say, is history. Switzer shared his story with the team's official site including how much quarterback Ben Roethlisberger helped him with his transition and what being on the Steelers has meant for him personally. It is truly refreshing to hear the good news that comes from this team. With so many former players feeling the need to disparage the franchise, guys like Switzer and others counter their arguments in a big way.

I like Ryan Switzer. Seems like a good guy and works hard. Hope he does well this season.

Nice to hear that someone wants to be a Steeler

Switzer is currently our No. 3 WR behind JuJu and Washington. He is as good, if not better as a WR than Rogers and he is our best return specialist. He should be an automatic to make the team. i think he will be even better next year as well.

WoW, BEN ROETHLISBERGER getting some positive. For being a gutless / non-leader / call out artist........................ He sure as **** has SwitzArmy Knife fooled................

Salute the nation

Moncrief should be 2 or 3 i would hope

Forgot about him. He will definitely be 2 or 3, at worst. I think he will have a good season. I see JuJu, Moncrief, Washington, Switzer and a rookie as our top 5 WR's. DHB is gone and Rogers may be gone even though he signed a 2 year deal. The only way I can see Switzer gone is if Moncrief or the rookie can take over his return duties but, short of AB, Switzer is the best return guy we've had in a long time.

If Behlicheat ever got his hands on Switzer, Switzer would make the Hall of Fame... He is Wes Welker without head injury concerns.

He would always seemingly stick his neck out there to get a first down, where a guy like Brown, Uber-talent and all, rarely ever did that. Brown can have all the numbers, all the money, and make all the highlight reel catches he wants; to me, I will always view him the same way I’ve heard my old man talk about Barry Bonds, and his inability to throw a crippled Sid Bream out at the plate, my whole life.

Brown maybe a grade-a *******, but i can't say he wasn't clutch or played hard.

Imagine if he took a mature approach to all of this and had a sit down chat with MT, ARII, Colbert and Ben, issues could have possibly gotten ironed out and a new contract may have been worked out? He never gave them a chance. Ability always been there, but attitude is equally important in being a professional and adult.
