Even though he is still in the midst of rehabbing from his scary injury on December 4th, Ryan Shazier continues to make strides in all the right directions. Keep on pushing Ryan, we Shalieve.

GREAT read and UP LIFTING !!!!!! We are lucky to have ownership that allows things like this to happen. NOT every team in the NFL would allow their player the access the STEELERS are allowing Ryan. GOD speed and may he recover to his satisfaction.

he’s continuing to work to overcome this injury but what we’ve enabled him to do is also be involved with the football part of it because we think it is important for him to still have that in front of him. He’ll come in here, he’s here on a daily basis. He does some physical workouts in the morning. He either sits in with the coaches or he’ll sit in with us. He’s learning some personnel stuff just to keep him involved with us and then he goes and does his rehab at a rehab facility.

I like to project trends, and right here is a good example of saying something without saying it. The Steelers are doing the right thing keeping Shazier involved in operations, and moving him to understand coaching and personnel moves, means they are not expecting him to ever return to playing. This idea is also strengthened by saying "it is important for him to still have that in front of him". Meaning playing is probably not a future option for him.

Steelers have about 2 weeks to make a decision on his active status, and I'm projecting he will retire.
