Ryan Shazier Released from Hospital

Ryan Shazier has been in the hospital since Dec 3. Today he was finally released. Though he was discharged from the hospital he will continue to do outpatient therapy.

God Bless Shaz and his family. He's up and out but still has a long road ahead of him. He'll be a Steeler forever, no matter what.

Expectedly, he has lost a significant amount of weight. He’s probably under 170 lbs.

To shed a little more light. Not uncommon to have pain, aches, leg muscle weakness after spine surgeries. Sometimes ongoing nerve issues come into play. If one leg is effected, a brace could give a patent additional support.

My wife is a therapist and she says that brace is an Ankle/Foot Orthotic that goes into his shoe...he probably has drop foot right now but that can be worked out.
 
The brace is a support to keep his ankle locked. He's probably not walking on his own yet.
