By Brandon Wallace SteelerNation.com Sunday, Sports Illustrated took to Instagram to post one of Ryan Shazier‘s latest workouts. But this wasn’t just any workout. Shazier displayed the ability to jump and elevate as well as he has done since his spinal injury in 2017. Have a look for yourself: View this post on Instagram Amazing: […]

Awesome to see! Shazier has made some incredible strides so far.

That is great to see!

I hope he can resume normal daily activities without limitations very soon.
I also hope he forgets about ever playing football again, it isn't worth the risk.

Ryan is back to normal. That's impressive and amazing to see.

I really hope he doesn't go back into football.
Stay healthy and live a capable life.

I saw he put more weight on the one leg for whatever reason.

But keep pushing Ryan we all hope for nothing but the best for you.

Great to see but hope he never tries to play football again. But coach, that's a whole different story. Coach Tomlin should hire him asap!

I doubt he makes it back to football but I’m certainly not hoping against it and why would you?

Just because he suffered an injury doesn’t necessarily make him anymore likely to get injured again. People said the same thing about Peyton Manning despite his doctor saying there was not an increased risk of injury.

Don't know why people are hoping he doesn't play. He wants to play. If he does the work with the deep desire to play again people should root for his dreams to come true. He would also inspire countless people with spinal injuries that they too can recover. Can you imagine him walking out on to the field? Holy **** the Rooney's better hand out Kleenex packs. Being there to witness that would be one of the greatest sports moments ever. He wants to share that ......we should be behind him. Leave your own fears at the door. He wants this! I hope he gets there

HGH was Payto......... I mean Payton's wife's friend..............

I pray Ryan gets useage of normal activity and is man enough to realize what he has accomplished, then fully retires out of football.

Salute the nation

love the guy. The Blitz family was lucky enough to run into him at training camp this past year. hung out with him for a bit. he signed terrible towels for us took pics with us. one of my kids walked him to his car. great person.

Glad to see that but I'd still rather he didn't play again and maybe get hurt worse.

Don't get it twisted Steelersnation is behind him. But most have took on a parent type of protection mode. Where we want to avoid permanent injury. We all still hope for a full recovery. Now for me I wonder if he will ever be 100 percent. If he isn't he shouldn't play again, that is just common sense. If he does by some miracle get back to 100 percent? Sure we would welcome him like a newborn with open arms.

Him getting back on the field is his daily motivation. For that be taken away from him could be devastating. Either way, I hope and wish him the best. He's an inspiration when there are some guys that are poison.

This is how I feel. In the days following his injury I thought he'd never walk again. I feel like hoping for him to play is too much and I find it hard to believe a doctor would sign off. If all was good and he is at no more risk. Great. Tears of joy for him will surely be shed in my home on that day.

I agree w/ most - this is really great progress. I just want the best for Ryan and, selfishly, I'd rather see him coaching than playing again...
