Russ to the GMen

They're just making everyone wait for the extra dramatic anticipation and it gives writers something to speculate and write about.

The next chapter is will Pickens be playing for Pittsburgh or will he be traded, perhaps on draft day.

I personally think he has a great opportunity to raise his value,if Rodgers doesn't get killed by week 5.
What about week 6 or after?🤔

???
I thought a Tomlinship was to get to 9 wins. You know, another winning season.
I think Mason is up to the task.
Not necessarily. It's "non-losing season".
9 wins is simpler but remember the first year of the 17 game season, the one and only Mason Rudolph led the mighty Steelers to a tie with the Lions so they could go 8-8-1 that year.
If memory serves, Captain Cool Shades has gone 8-8 twice and 8-8-1 once.
Never a losing season, greatest coach everrrrr....

With like 5 qb needy teams well ahead and the Steelers without a 2nd no way they are getting of the 3 first round projected qbs. I guess maybe third or fourth round. That couod easily be a pissed away pick though.

What the hell are we doing? Like what's the plan? We signed a premium WR, lost our #1 RB and both of our QBs. Our two best defensive players are now over 30. We should be starting a young team these next few years, getting higher draft picks and trading veterans for even more picks, but no let's sign a Pro Bowl Wideout and a 42 year-old injury prone QB who will get killed behind our sub par O-Line so we can finish .500 again. Unreal.

Too late, we already look beyond stupid.
So, what happened here? We thought we were ultimate tricky, getting 2 semi-established QBs for pennies on the dollar, Art's favorite kind of deal. Getting a QB for peanuts gives Art a woody. He thought he was so shrewd, such a trickster getting QBs for so cheap; the cheaper the better Art thought. Then reality showed up in the form of Mike Clown-lin who pissed away any chance of putting together a legit NFL offense, which morphed into putting together a legit NFL team; 5 losses in a row to end the season, basically an embarrassment of a once-proud franchise. How was it possible that after a 10-3 start, all things went to pure sh--?

When you head coach is a fraud, bad things are bound to catch up to you. Clown-lin is a fraud, impersonating an elite level coach. He is not one, he is a .500 coach masquerading as a top-level, elite coach, his label is a fraud. His 5-loss consecutive losing end to his season is oh-so-predictable, especially the playoff loss to end the season. This team just stinks through and through.

On the positive side (if you can call it that) you got a defense that ranks 12th. Being ranked basically average (12th out of 32) wouln't be so bad if the franchise hadn't mortgaged everything to the D, having spent (once again this season) every dollar to the D. They spend more $ than ANY team on defense. OK, they're not #1 on D, things happen, but to not be 2, 3 or even top 5? Unacceptable. ALL that $ and they aren't even top 10. How can this be?

On offense, they are predictably 23rd, ranked only higher than the Jets, Jags, Titans, Raiders, Browns, Panthers, Gants, Pats and Bears. Puteo. With a Clown-lin O this bad, it's no wonder the D has to suffer, with the O generating no 1st downs. There run, run, incomplete (too short pass), punt leads to losing football of 5 consecutive losses to end the season.

Expect the same finish: 9-8 or 10-7 at best, 1st round playoff loss coming. Another Tomlinish finish. Same results as usual. Art must be so proud. Move on Pgh, move on. Get rid of Art, Clown-lin and start fresh. Nearly a decade of not a single postseason win. It's enough already. Even the 80's weren't this bad.

Good Luck, Russ. Don't go cooking up anything Michelin Guide worthy, but I'm gonna laugh hard if you do.

Neither signing was a comp pick deleterious move. Meaning we are looking at most likely 4 extra picks next year one or two will be 3 round picks. That gives us what we need to start building.

I think we may get another comp pick in the 26 draft for Russ signing with the Giants. Hopefully a third!
As long as he doesn't get benched for Winston
Huh? It has to do with his contract. I think he signed a one year 20 million deal. Could get them a third but also could get them a fourth.
That’s good that they are racking up comp picks. They will need them.

I don't care what the defense is ranked, they can't stop the run or cover on the back end.
