Ross Cockrell

He's made plays and given up some. Has a lot of potential it seems. Considering he was signed 5 weeks ago I think we may have something.

3 TOs the last 2 games and a TD. That FR was incredible. To be that athletic and keep his feet in bounds. No defensive player makes that play...

I'm impressed, and pleasantly surprised.

When he is not being illegally picked, he is all over his assigned zone/receiver and is a strong tackler.

The Steelers MAY have found a hidden gem here.

I'm about sick of that illegal pick BS.. the officials can throw a penalty on that whenever they want and vs. us they allow all offenses to run it, it seems.

I loved RC out of college and he's looking good, the defense as a whole is looking good.

Cockrell was one of the CBs I wanted the Steelers to draft with the Archer pick.

He was no longer a scheme fit in Buffalo with the coaching change there, but his skill set works well with what the Steelers ask of their CBs.

We'll find out more about what the Steelers may or may not have in him against the Cardinals. It will be a great challenge for the entire Steelers defense.

The correct way to run the pick play legally is to force the defenders to cross each others path... its just easier for the offensive player to do it, though far more illegal

I like what I see of him so far. He seems like a gamer....

I liked him coming out of college and was happy he signed. Didn't think he'd be this good for us so soon.

fitz is going to be neaded to be doubled.
i say cortez vs floyd, blake vs brown, and double fitz with cockrell and mitchell.

it will definitely be a challenge for our secondary against those redbirds from the west looking forward to see what Keith Butler has up his sleeves going against his old buddy Brucey....

hope Big Ben is not rushing things too fast because I think we still have a fighters chance in this game without him but if he plays and is not 100% we really don't and he may be jeapordizing our entire

season by risking injury to himself if he cant protect himself from their passrush....

The thing I am worried about most regarding the cardinals D if Ben is in their is how they blitz their secondary personnel who all have a knack of getting to the QB.

Ross was a guy I liked in the draft for round 3. I like his instincts and ball skills. It's nice to have a Steeler corner playing that isn't 5'9" tall. At 6 feet, tallCockrell is better suited to defend the sidelines or win jump balls.

I think he should start over Blake sometime this year.

Blake can tackle and is tough, but he stinks in coverage. No idea why he starts.

I know the Steelers run picks......probably should be called as well.........just saw one by SD that was REAL obvious and seemed to beg for a flag that never came.

What'd Heath do?

Heath ran straight at the defender and pushed him straight up the field, almost like he was blocking for Bell.

Yeah, Cockrell looks like a keeper. Regarding pick plays, the entire Patriots pass offense has revolved around them since Belicheat got there. Edelman was hitting zone linebackers 10 yards down the field with his back turned to make it look accidental. ******* ridiculous the refs aren't cracking down on that ****.
