Romo to retire

Surprises me he would pass on a potential $15 million payday with a decent team/coach in Houston. All he had to do was wait it out. That division is easy pickings for Romo an the AFC, after New England is kind of wide open.
 
Honestly good for him. His body is a wreck and he will be lucky if he can walk when he is 60.
 
And he tripped on the way to the podium to announce it.
 
Some guys slip the hit and dump the ball early and lice to fight another day. Romo and Ben aren't those guys

I'm glad he went this route. I never could build up any hate for the guy even though he's a Cryboy, he's always seemed to be a good player and a good team-mate. I was hoping he would hang em up, dude won't be able to walk if he keeps going.

The game isn't worth your ability to walk and enjoy time with your children and grandchildren.

That interview episode with Bettis where he was struggling to get out of bed and get up and down stairs was tough. And he's still very very young.

Agreed. Romo has the money to enjoy his life's work. He'll be much improved over Simms as well.
 
Damn...he snaked Simms' job too. Now we just need rid of Nantz.

It didn't take CBS long to dump Simms for somebody with no broadcasting experience. The network must have been getting some serious hate mail about Simms.
 
And I don't really hate Phil. His voice isn't great and he certainly nut hugged certain guys. I didn't find him to be anti Steelers. A couple guys say the call should go against the Steelers no matter what.

I didn't mind Simms much either, but he is no longer a No. 1 guy. Romo going from playing to the top booth is a pretty big jump and I hope he makes it successfully.

Is this true or just hear say???? Anyone have a link or proof of this story. I need to know if it is truely true before I unLOAD on pretty boy Phillis.

Never got the love for Romo, he has really won nothing. What in playoffs two or three times in his years. He more than likely has more money than he needs so why take a chance with the type injury that continues to plaque Romo, why play football.
