By Brandon Wallace SteelerNation.com PITTSBURGH, PA – Sunday, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger*won the 2018 NFL passing title with 5,129 passing yards. This is Roethlisberger’s first outright passing title as he also won in 2014 splitting the honors with Drew Brees at 4,952 passing yards each. Sunday was also another milestone for Roethlisberger as he surpassed the […]

Congrats Big Ben

suck on it haters!

hi

Wait. Wasnt there a segment of this board that was ready to move on from him at the beginning of the season?
Where are you guys now?

Ben had a great statistical season. He put the team on his back a lot this season and put them in position to win multiple times only to watch the defense give it away. He deserves better in his closing years and he knows the fans do as well.
He’s a warrior and a winner.

And yet not even in the top ten for consideration of NFL MVP. ******* makes me sick. Brees numbers 32 TDs 5 picks and 3992 yards passing. Bens numbers. 34 TDs 16 picks and 5127 yards passing.

Just for ***** and giggles here are Brett Favre's numbers the years he won MVP 95, 96, 97.

38 TDs 13 picks and 4413 passing
39 TDs 13 picks and 3899 passing
35 TDs 16 picks and 3867 passing

I chose Favre because he was way worse than Ben in TD to INT ratio.

In 09 Manning threw 33 TDs and 16 picks and 4500 yards, 08 he had 27 TDs and 12 picks and 4002 yards. Won MVP both years. now in fairness his other three MVP years, he had very good numbers.

Last year Brady had 32 TDS and 8 picks with 4577 passing yards won MVP.

one more thing Ben also had a better completion percentage and higher average per pass than any of them.

Now while I totally think Mahomes deserves this year's award, I think it's bullshit Ben isn't even in the conversation.

Almost 3 miles of passing yardage. Pretty damn impressive. .

No. 7 will never get the national recognition he deserves because of Milledgeville GA. We can debate all we want about whether it's fair or not, but it's never going to change. It's a damn shame. Oh well, off to enjoy the rest of the night, Happy New Year SN.

Very cool for Ben to lead the league in passing. Certainly a nice milestone.

It's a different game compared to when Favre played. Beyond that, the MVP is clearly Mahomes and no one else is even close or should even get any votes. I actually wish it was Most Outstanding Player because Aaron Donald deserves more than just DPY for what he accomplished this season.

Sometimes you make choices in your life you get to pay for the remaining portion of said life. With that said, there is an OBVIOUS bias in regards to ‘ol #7.

Those two incidents one in Georgia and the other in Vegas have ruined his reputation. Always looked upon as a second tier QB by NFL talking heads and never, ever will you see Ben endorsing products. He’s lost millions of dollars of endorsement opportunities because of those incidents. No one will ever touch him.

Wonder if that will eventually affect his getting the votes to get into the HOF. It's like he's football's version of Pete Rose at least with respect to awards.

And they will both be home. Ext week watching playoffs. The difference brees will be playing in two weeks that makes him far more valuable

Far more valuable because he is in the playoffs. That is one sentence I will disagree with. That is tunnel vision. He deserves to be rated on this year's accomplishmmets as well as what he has accomplished over his career.

This bullshit about Bens off-field accusations is a ******* joke. Ray Lewis killed a ************ and blamed his homies so he could get off, still looked at as the greatest ever. AP abuses his kids; he is still looked at as one of the greatest. Countless others suspended multiple times for drugs or those that were just straight up locker room cancer. The NFL picks and chooses who they want to **** over, Just like Big Ben and Ray Rice.

I agree with you on that. My point is that E. Elliot beat the **** out of his girl and is still playing. AP left permanent scars on his kids, and he is still playing, and nobody ever brings that **** up when they talk about them all they do is talk about how great they are.

True they should have banned them as well.

Goodell never has any kind of consistency.
