I still cant believe Ben decided to come back for another year..
That loss to Cleveland most of really left a bad taste...
To this day.... I still get a small taste every time I blech..
DIC--Ben came back because he knew the FO was going to change things. He also knew he would heal up. He also knew and had confidence in his ability to be competative. He also knew he was carrying the team. He also knew Fitchner was gone.
Yes the cleveland game left a bad taste but he knew he was coming back well before that game was even played.
Cleveland has been picked by some to be SB champions where as I think they need to play the games first. STEELERS will be way better than most talking heads predict 7-10 or 8-9. Currently I'm thinking 11-6 or 12-5 division winner but playoff bound at minimum.

DIC--
I love the glass half full mind-set!
I just dont want to see Ben go out looking like Namath, Unitis, Hadl, Kilmer, Gabriel, etc did when they hung them up...
Yes---I'm old...but still have my memory lol...
What exactly did the FO change? In the end they let Tomlin run the show. I expect nothing more than what we have see over the last 1/2 decade.Ben came back because he knew the FO was going to change things. He also knew he would heal up. Hope so, and we'll know soon enough. Ben doesn't need to be throwing 50 times a game.Well they changed in the regards of committing to a running game. Maybe they have done that in the past but it looks like they have a better committment this year than last. I know it's a wait and see with all the new faces but I'm betting we go from ranking 32 to above 16 in the NFL rushing. That's a committment worth mentioning. They also got rid of 5-play Tomlin friend Fitchner in regards to more rushing. OL coach change in more committment to run so there is some difference than past decade as I don't recall all that happening in one offseason. High draft pick RB as welll. TE who can block (rushing) and actually catch.

Lol mayfield would have thrown 8 picks and gotten benched for whatever bum was backing him up in the game before the half…Simple Question: If Baker Mayfield was down 28-0, what are the chances he has a 500-yard game and out scores the Steelers 37-20 over 3 Quarters?
Cleveland loss is mostly on him for his turnovers. Pouncey didn't help either. Its time for Ben to end his career on a high note and not with losses playing like **** in the playoffs.I still cant believe Ben decided to come back for another year..

Hopefully Ben is here for 3 or 4 more years.....and hoist Vince's trophy at the end of each one.No worries steel dino but that is exactly why BEN came back, ........ to show he isn't washed up I believe with this new mindset of our team, he will do just that. He can't carry this team like he has done in the past but he sure as hell can lead them to victory given the emphasis on the run. A running game will change his outcome dramaticly and the team is showing commitment to that.
All good here

Go look at the number of years plyed in Pittsburgh by those Steelers in the HOF. BEN has surpassed all of them-if I looked correctly, by at least three years. As good as all of them were, none were able to stick with this team like #7 has. We will miss him when he does go. I hope he can play at high level for a few more years.Per the Athletic:
Roethlisberger is 10 years older than the next offensive player.
Side note: Daniel LaRusso is 4 months older than Terry Silver
