Rodney Harrison just called Ben a liar

I was alright with trying to win the game, but nobody made the decision to throw that ball but the QB. You snap it, if nothing is open right away you throw the ball out the back of the end zone and kick the FG. That game was lost when we decided not to try and end the game on our previous drive. We get called for holding, and on first and twenty, not only do we run, we run a guy who never gets the damn ball? The coaches coach scared every time the game is on the line against them. Up until then they played to win yesterday.

They had five minutes while that play was under review to get everyone on the same page and agree on a play. I can understand why someone would find it hard to believe that the play was called in at the last minute.

Andrew, he'd have been called for intentional grounding if he didn't try to make a football pass first off. That's a 10 second runoff and end of game.

Secondly, the pass was there if Rogers isn't being jerked down and used as leverage to pull the DB toward the ball.

No he wouldnt have if he threw it high and thru the goalposts . Its done all the time. But i regress just saw a photo of Rogers being held. Its ******* sad

Does anyone remember back in the Peyton manning days when it leaked out that Belichick taught his defensive players to interfere and hold every play of a big game cause refs were loathe to call too many fouls, especially on game deciding moments...

The shame should be on Ben for listening to the coach. Spike the ball and run a proper play

WTF?? Spiking the ball burns the down, and you then have 4th down. It was actually smart for him to attempt a throw on 3rd down, because the only other option is OT if you spike the ball. We had a chance to win, and we took it. The ball just didn't bounce our way.

Ben does not throw the ball away, he always tries to make a play. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't. I don't really have a problem with the attempt to win the game, just wish he would have not tried to force it into the teeth of the D.

yep it doesn't bounce our way when a WR's jersey is grabbed and held, and then a no call.

Doesn't bounce our way when a TD was overturned that shouldn't be.

Didn't bounce our way when up by 8 and driving for a even bigger lead a tick tacky holding call is called on the Steelers.

Didn't bounce our way when a pass happy flag ref crew that ****** up the Jet game was picked to ref this game. And only decided to call two penalties on the pats the entire ******* game.

Didn't bounce our way when Bryant like Eli was end zone held for a no call too.

Didn't bounce our way when Gronk taunted for another no call.

Didn't bounce our way for a ST no call that should have been a penalty.

Yeah amazing all the non bouncing mother ******* our ways when we play the cheats.

You gotta let it go. It's entertainment, a'la professional wrestling.

I wouldn't go that far. That would mean the Steelers players are in on the outcome and I know damn well those guys were really bummed after that loss. Just watch DeCastro's post game interview.

Exactly this! You go for the win given that opportunity. You hope for a catch, PI call, or drop. Unfortunately the ball popped into the air and was intercepted. Frustrating yes, but I would not want them to concede to OT with having at least one opportunity for the win.

Because if we dont go for it, Kick the FG and then the Patriots drive down and score first in OT there would be bitching about not trying to score

2 penalties.

pats Penalties (Number-Yards) 2 - 4 measly ******* yards

Steelers Penalties (Number-Yards) 6 - 63

sureeee this sounds right

Rodney Harrison now sits in front of a camera and what he says is relevant, right?
What happened yesterday is over.
Ben also said that he threw too high to Eli Rogers, should have led him more and that the hold on Rogers is a call he wasn't going to get.
Those are three truths that Rodney will never acknowledge especially the last one.
The Steelers (might) get one more shot at the Cheats. Maybe in the remaining games on the Pat*&% schedule somebody breaks Brady's arm or Gronkowski's leg; looks like that's the only way the Steelers are going to beat these FA-kers.

Exactly. I think Ben thought it was 2nd down. That is why he wanted to clock and the coaches told him not too. Once he got the word from the sidelines, the receivers were already in 'clock-it' position. So Ben gave a signal to Rogers and went for broke. PI could have easily been called.

Rodney Harrison is more right than you think

Ben Roethlisberger: Call to throw into end zone came from sideline

“It wasn’t a fake spike,” Roethlisberger said, via Alex Marvez of Sporting News. “I was yelling, ‘Clock it!’ I felt like that was the thing to do — clock it and get yourself one play. … It came from the sideline: ‘Don’t clock it! Don’t clock it!’ Well, at that time, everyone thinks it’s a clock [play] so you don’t have time to get everyone lined up.”

Rogers was the only Steelers receiver running a route, something that led to several Patriots defenders bracketing him before Roethlisberger, who said the call to go came from offensive coordinator Todd Haley in his helmet, delivered the pass.

That confusion likely contributed to the outcome, which knocked the Steelers out of the top spot in the AFC playoff picture with two games left to play.

Yes Spike because that refutes Ben's claim that the call came from the sidelines and nobody knew WTF was going on.

He did say he thinks we can beat them in Foxboro. He's still irrelevant to me.

This is still so stupid because all he had to do was throw it away, and then get pissed at coaches and teammates for not being ready for the play. Call from the coaches or not, Ben failed miserably in his execution. Just because a particular play may be called doesn't mean force the damn pass.

Case ******* closed... and with all his no huddle experience he couldnt get a play in himself??

It was criminally stupid for the Steelers to try to run a play when they had no play called.

That's the end of the discussion. For Haley to even yell "DON'T CLOCK IT" but have no play is beyond stupid.

Should Ben have thrown the ball away? No. He should have clocked the ******* ball and walked over and punched Haley. That's what he SHOULD have done.

3 seconds Josh. Give me a play.

Go.

And... You missed it.

(By the way... You had 30 seconds.)
